24.01.2022 Starting in early May, our gruelling Pre-pruning program goes through to the end of August, with some seasons finishing up around early September. The Pellenc Visio pruner will work through the night, keeping our customers happy so they can commence their hand-pruning program on time. Rely on the TVM team that delivers results and peace of mind
23.01.2022 The wet winter of 2016 and this vintage has certainly brought about its fair share of challenges! Thank you to Rick Milland of Fowles Wine and his great team, for their effort in getting the Visio Pre-pruner back on track and doing what it does best. Total Vineyard Management is once again proud to be associated with such a great Australian family wine company and to be pre-pruning the Fowles stunning Upton Run & Billi's vineyards, located high up in the granite landscape of the Strathbogie Ranges.

18.01.2022 Cover crop/pasture re-establishment and compost spreading project recently completed for Eden Road Wines at Murrumbateman in Canberra's Wine Region. Thomas Lefebvre - Vineyard Manager of Eden Road Wines & Jordy Hurdes of TVM with vineyard worker Antoine inspecting a pile of wood chip mulch destined for a premium Shiraz block at the Lake George Vineyard. The addition of organic matter, either spreading or banded under-vine will improve soil microbial activity and wate...r holding capacity, adding nutrient content, assisting in erosion control, improving soil structure, ultimately leading to healthier and more resilient vines. With his vast array of experience and wealth of viticultural knowledge, it's guys like Thomas that completely understand the importance of compost spreading and what it can do to the quality of soil health, microbial activity and the quality of fruit. Call the team at TVM for a chat and a customised quote to getting your soil health on the right path to a sustainable future
17.01.2022 A recently completed vineyard development project for Savaterre Wines - Beechworth. This was the first time TVM surveyed a new block utilising an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to assist in creating a setout plan to outline row orientation and post spacing. Steve Collins from Alpine Survey + Mapping created a setout file for GNSS mapping, markers were pegged out and then came the task of installing posts. ... With the challenge of rocky terrain, this was no doubt one of the most rewarding projects for TVM so far. Check out this stunning location - No doubt a superb site for growing premium quality Savaterre Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
15.01.2022 It's a good thing this guy wears shorts all year round! Jumping into this freezing cold river and getting the job done is all part of a days work for Jordy our IT and Facebook page specialist! This 2-day project involved the TVM crew setting up Barwite Vineyard's irrigation pump and suction line on the banks of the Broken River. ... Then assembling a 10" layflat hose and pumping water over a distance of one kilometre from the Broken River and filling the Barwite dam so there's plenty of reserve for the coming vintage.

06.01.2022 Ever been tempted to plant your own vineyard? A bunch of Galen Catholic College school kids are venturing into the wine industry for their very first time and TVM were there to kickstart their journey. Firstly they marked & pegged out the block, with the TVM crew then herbicide spraying the 2.5 metre rows.... Our second step was to then deep rip the lines in preparation for planting of vines, installation of posts and trellis later on in the year.
05.01.2022 The Rutherglen Wine Region is renowned for its world-class Muscats and sweet, fortified reds. Conducting a small trial on their Lake Moodemere Estate vineyard in 2018, vignerons Joel & Michael Chambers spread some straw mulch on several rows of their Durif block by hand. Fast forward twelve months and they noted a remarkable improvement in the health of their vines. More importantly, they experienced a significant enhancement in the quality of their wine. ... Wanting to cover a more substantial area, they engaged TVM to effectively spread more straw over their block. The Eco Mulcher was put to the test and well, as you can see, the results speak for themselves. When innovative technology meets visionary winemakers, great things happen.
