14.01.2022 NSW parliament rejects bill that would allow medical cannabis patients to drive November 10, 2020November 10, 2020 The New South Wales parliament has rejected a bill that would allow medical cannabis patients to use their prescription to fight drunk driving charges. The 2020 Road Transport Legislation Amendment Bill was first brought about by Greens Party member, David Shoebridge. The bill would have allowed medical cannabis patients to drive while under the influence of THC,... an act that is currently illegal. Medical cannabis patients in Australia take both CBD and THC, which are compounds of cannabis. Unlike CBD, THC is psychoactive, leading experts at the Australian Drug Foundation to conclude that it causes drivers to experience confused thinking, reduced coordination, blurred vision and hallucinations. https://www.ponderingpot.com.au//nsw-parliament-rejects-b/ https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au//Pag/HansardResult.aspx

06.01.2022 Approximately 16 people have been given access since it became legal in 2016 Medicinal cannabis still out of reach: Tasmanian advocate PASSIONATE ADVOCATE: Cannabis Awareness Tasmania founder Lyn Cleaver (right) said her son Jeremy (left) who has severe refractory epilepsy.... Despite the emergence of a regulated medicinal cannabis industry in Australia, the product remains out of reach to most people in need according to Cannabis Awareness Tasmania founder Lyn Cleaver. She says price and challenging access schemes in states like Tasmania remain the biggest barriers preventing people suffering from getting their hands on the treatment. "We are hearing anecdotally that Tasmanians are using services on the mainland outside of the Controlled Access Scheme," Ms Cleaver said. "On the mainland in most jurisdictions any doctor can apply for their patient, GPs and the like. Where as in Tasmania you have to use a specialist." Because state governments on the mainland often did not heavily subsidise the cost of medicinal cannabis, the cost of getting scripts filled was prohibitive, Ms Cleaver said. "Theyre looking at getting one or two prescriptions and not being bale to afford it... some are saying its $500 a month or even more than that," she said. "There are thousands of people across the country breaking the law because they either cant get a legal prescription or they can get it and they cant afford it. "Its evident that schemes across the country are overwhelmingly not working for the patient. People are running to the black market because theyre hearing everywhere cannabis is good for this, cannabis is good for that but they cant get it."

03.01.2022 What are trichomes? . "The actual definition of trichome is fine outgrowths or appendages on plants, algae, lichens, and certain protists. Originating from the Greek word Tríchma, meaning growth of hair, these tiny microscopic mushroom-looking protuberances look like something out of a science fiction novel. But they are actually the very factories that produce the hundreds of known cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that make our favorite cannabis strains potent, ...unique, and effective. . The production of trichomes can be observed in many species of plants throughout nature, taking on various physical forms as well as serving many different purposes. For example, trichomes found on some carnivorous plants aid in helping to catch prey. . In cannabis, trichomes function as a defense mechanism. When female cannabis plants begin to produce flowers in the wild, they often become vulnerable to various insects and animals as well as non-living environmental variables such as potentially harmful UV rays. Trichomes serve as a deterrent for animals because their bitter taste and strong aromas render cannabis flowers unpalatable. At the same time, they also serve a dual function in protecting their plants from damaging winds and even some varieties of fungal growth." Leafly . Conjoined Lava Cake trichomes.
