12.01.2022 Introducing: - Glen Murray / General Manager In 1980 Glen was offered a cadetship with Sydney Water and this is where his career in construction began.... Glen has worked on multiple construction projects, which include highways, tunnels, airports and buildings. Working for Tier 1 companies such as Transfield Contractors and Leightons has given Glen the opportunity to be involved in projects Australia wide and overseas and this is where he became well versed in the construction industry. In recent times he has worked for smaller companies such as Cleary Bros. Here he was involved with the company restructure, construction management and negotiating new business. Now at Total Kerbing Solutions he is involved with the growth and the core values of the company. In his down time Glen would say your in good hands with Golf. We asked Glen. 1) What led you to this career? I attended a career advice day and Uni open day and I was drawn towards the civil engineering path 2) What drains you outside of work? Household chores 3) If you could only have three apps on your smartphone, which would you pick? Increasing the number of lanes along The Northern Road Removing a set of traffic lights at the M4 Interchange Providing additional turning lanes at some intersections 2. Allowing for reliable public transport by providing a continuous kerbside bus lane in each direction 3. Improving safety for pedestrians and cyclists by providing a new shared path 4. Improving connectivity for pedestrians by providing new footpaths 5. Improving road safety by: Providing a central median to separate opposing traffic flows Installing new traffic lights at two existing intersections Providing separate turning lanes at some intersections Improving the alignment of the road 6. Improving local access by providing an extension of Cross Road to Wentworth Road 7. Mitigating traffic noise impacts by providing two new noise barriers.

The NSW Government is investing $600 million to build the M4 Smart Motorway project, which will introduce intelligent technology to the M4 Motorway between Pitt Street, Mays Hill and Mulgoa Road, Penrith. Exciting times ahead!
