21.01.2022 We are sad to report that Glenn received an offer that he couldn't refuse and has left Totally Tuned to go and mine electricity. Or he's gone to be an electrician in a mine - something like that. We are very grateful for all Glenn's good work and support over the last couple of years and wish him the very very best in his new adventure.

19.01.2022 THE SLEEPER WOKE UP. Last night, the Totally Tuned Dyno Record was absolutely smashed. The previous highest KW number of 554KWs was blown away by a new record of 630.9KWs. We won't say who, but can tell you it looks like an average family car (including the kid seats in the back)... It has an L77 (DoD deleted), has a single turbo, Stage 1 ghost cam and full (and fairly quiet) exhaust. Oh, and its a white wagon....

18.01.2022 Oh dear.... I think that Drag Challenge may be affecting Glenn and his partner / pit crew Sarah. I've looked at a few of the photos they've sent during the last week and have noticed that the burning rubber, sun, dust and exhaust fumes have taken their toll. How sad. Glenn is still going - can't wait to see what he gets up to today. Final day back in Melbourne. Perhaps some E85 is in the cards??? Best of luck Glenn - keep us posted !

16.01.2022 So, once upon a time, a long long time ago, this guy comes into Totally Tuned with a Silvia and says "please make it run".... 109.6 hours of labour, 566.21 parts / components / litres of fluid, 458 days, endless kilometres on the dyno, 1 trip to Sydney, 2 trips to Hume later... Our biggest project to date left our shop recently - with its owner finally able to drive the car for the very first time (having bought the car as a project - not running). Other work included (but w...as absolutely not limited to): Haltech install, major wiring front to back and side to side and everything in between, fuel system - front to back, gearbox / clutch install, cooling system, brake system, all sorts of mechanical and fabrication when parts / brackets were not available. We encountered more than a few challenges, particularly due to the car having sat for some time, but with the customer's help, cooperation and patience, we prevailed in the end. Perhaps the most rewarding part of this project was working with the engineer to prepare for and then pass engineering inspection. We worked through the list from the initial engineering inspection and were able to satisfy all requirements. This included exhaust modification and tuning with the specific goal of passing the IM240 Emissions Test in Sydney. The Silvia passed on the first try, whilst the 8 cars in queue before it on that same day had failed - it can be a tricky setup to get right. We've invested significant time and effort into researching and developing our methods for emissions tuning and have now successfully tuned several vehicles to pass the test. Really proud of this one :)

15.01.2022 GLENN is once more off on the adventure that is DRAG CHALLENGE this week. Wishing him buckets of good luck and a safe trip.

12.01.2022 He's still going !! Glenn has completed day three and is back in Swan Hill today. I'd better clarify that yesterday's time slips are for an 1/8 mile track - he has not modified his Celica to the point of running 7s on the 1/4 (yet). Glenn reported that they've had major dust, rain and heat - I'm betting he's glad he installed air conditioning in the Celica for this year's challenge. The field in general has had a few casualties, including a busted gearbox that spread oil all over the track and return road, but Glenn and his mates Lewis and Greg are all still running strong. Stay tuned.

05.01.2022 Haven't heard from Glenn yet today, but he checked in late yesterday and all was going well. Apparently, the track was a bit dusty, but he had a good run. One of his fellow Canberrans had experienced some techical difficulty, but thanks to a friendly panel shop with a hoist, problem was being solved with a team effort. Stay tuned.

02.01.2022 BREAKOUT !!! BUT WITH STYLE... Glenn returns triumphant from his week at Drag Challenge - nearly 3000kms distance covered this year. All in one piece and with a new personal best (awesome) time. Sounds like he had a great time and will most certainly be doing it all again next year. Really fantastic effort Glenn, well done.
