23.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart I have to share some terrible news with our TMA family. Not just one but two very sad situations. Unfortunately, during lockdown one of our lovely mums Penny lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind her 3 beautiful boys and our students, Freddie, Toby and Hugo. Then last night I was very saddened to hear of the passing of another gym parent, Matt, who has left behind his son and another of our students, Nash. This news has rocked my world and my h...eart pours for these amazing kids in this hard time for them. I know our TMA family will get behind these great kids and help them out any way we can. We will be running some fundraising events, but for now I would like to share both their go fund me pages. Let’s get behind these kids and let them know our TMA family is here for them! 23.01.2022 So a week or so ago (time is a bit crazy this time of year!) I asked on my personal page about bath bombs for Kenzie who has very sensitive skin. (She had asked Santa for a bath bomb that wouldn’t make her itch....) I was overwhelmed by the response, and we were very spoilt by a good friend and her new small local business. Shelley Gleeson had left us a gift by 8am in the morning! Kenzie felt very spoilt and felt the love. 15.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM........ This is Tom, our Muay Thai instructor..... here is what Tom had to say ...... Hi, my name is Tom and I’m the Muay Thai coach at Total Martial Arts Academy in Drysdale. ... I have had a passion for health and fitness my whole life including football, long distance running and general strength and conditioning until I discovered what would become my life passion in Muay Thai. I train with Johnny Bourke at Elite Training Center and Chris Bradford at Top Tier Muay Thai, who are now training together. I have had amateur padded fights and fought professionally. Muay Thai is a life changing sport in many aspects, from increasing your confidence and fitness to general respect of each other and of combat. I love having the opportunity to share and teach it to anyone who’s willing to listen and give it a try. Total Martial Arts Academy is a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for people of all ages to come learn a new skill and have fun doing it! Look forward to seeing you soon.

05.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM........ This is Ash! He’s our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach. Here is a bit about him and his BJJ experience.... Ash has been Involved in martial arts for 16 years, and BJJ for 14 years. He’s a Black belt under Jean Jacques Machado / Stewie Maldon, from Stewie’s house of BJJ Bendigo.... Ash has developed BJJ classes, based around solid fundamentals - takedown’s and heavy ground control in a style that can easily transition between competition, self defence, fitness and fun.
