22.05.2022 As seen on @foxfooty, the AFL has launched the 2022 Sir Doug Nicholls Round which will be celebrated over Rounds 10 and 11 of the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. Officially launching across the country, the AFL, and its clubs united to celebrate the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to Australian Football and the country. This year, the 2022 Sir Doug Nicholls Round coincides with the 30th anniversary of the historic 1992 Mabo decision, where ...the High Court of Australia recognised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ traditional ownership of land and country, and that ‘terra nullius’ should not have been applied to Australia. A significant moment in recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights, the AFL acknowledges the legacy of Torres Strait Islander leader Eddie ‘Koiki’ Mabo and the 1992 Mabo decision as part of the celebrations of the round. https://www.foxsports.com.au//5e81e705d7bffb9a956ae30a066b #AFL #DreamTime #Indigenousround #Indigenousguernsey #OutOfHome #Media #Billboards #RegionalOOHExperts #TOMBillboards #RegionalVictoria #VisitVic #TOM #TotalOutdoorMedia #IndependentOutdoor

03.05.2022 What are you doing this weekend? Within a 3-4 hours drive from Melbourne, you can reach approximately 80% of the state. Victoria’s accessibility profile has greatly impacted the economic expansion of regional Victoria, its tourism profile, and its international appeal. Whether it’s a day trip to Ballarat, a tour of the 12 Apostles, or commuting to work, it’s regional Victoria’s accessibility profile that has led to the ultimate and ongoing success of the OOH sector. W...ith approximately 3.1 million visitors to Melbourne annually (2019 Tourism Research Australia) and the continuing expansion of regional towns, there have never been so many cars on our roads and so many eyes on OOH. Accessibility is key to Regional Victoria’s exponential growth. Unlike many other Australian states, Victoria, due to its arterial architecture and comparative size can be accessed via its capital with relative ease. Let us know your next trip in the comments! 04.04.2022 As published Friday 28th Jan in @theage, home buyers in some parts of regional Victoria will have to find as much as $421,000 extra to buy a home after house prices surged to record highs in 2021. New data shows that 24 regional local government areas had median house price rises of at least 20 percent, and some higher than 40 percent, as the tree- and sea-changers packed up and moved away from the city during coronavirus lockdowns last year. Domain’s latest House Price Repor...t also revealed that regional Victoria’s house prices grew at their highest rate on record over the December quarter, more than double the previous quarter. Popular regional holiday spots led the house price gains, including alpine towns Bogong, Bright, and Harrietville, where the median price rose 46.2 percent in 12 months. That was closely followed by the sought-after Surf Coast, close to Geelong, where the median price rose 43 percent for the year from $979,000 to $1.4 million a rise of $421,000. Domain’s chief of research and economics, Nicola Powell, said regional areas where people could still commute to the city had seen the biggest price gains.
