19.01.2022 We had a fantastic weekend competing in our Total Performance VH Commodore. The race was the Commodore Cup Enduro held at Hidden Valley Raceway - in Darwin. The Enduro was held over 3 days with 2 days of racing. 3 pit stops were required with a Driver change. We were going really well until an unfortunate throttle linkage failed half way through Sunday’s race. ... All in all, it was a real buzz and good clean racing.

15.01.2022 While on the US tour, we managed a visit to Straub Technologies. Great bunch of guys with a real passion for the Performance industrie. Between the know how cam selections of Chris Straub and his experienced engine builder, Scott Foxwell, they produce efficient and powerful engine combinations. We spoke all things air flow, cam shaft selection and the like. As was proven by the guys, bigger is not better! ... LS guys, Straub Technologies offer a great performance camshaft upgrade for the LS series. This cam is a direct slip in and go - a stock upgrade with plenty of go and no further modifications required. We do however strongly recommend replacement of the LS weak rocker trunnions. Either a roller bearing or the bronzed bush upgrade to your existing rockers. Contact us for further information in Australia.

Managed to finish 3rd overall Season points, which includes missing a valuable points round early on in the season. Nice to finish the Northern Territory season taking out the NT Titles .

05.01.2022 Spent some time at the home of the famous TFC manifolds in Melbourne VIC. Total Flow Control - an Australian made intake manifold that suits Cleveland and Windsor blocks with Cleveland heads. Both 2V and tonged 4V (3V) sizes available with an option of high or low plenum (Helps with bonnet clearance issues)... They fit 9.2 deck Cleveland's & Windsors. With spacer plates, they bolt up to a 9.5 deck block as well!! We got to view the CNC process from raw casting to finished product. It was great to hang out with the inventor, Graeme Cerini and talk about his very effective intake manifolds. Graeme advises an easy bolt on 25hp over similar type intakes. Managed to spend some time with a very well respected Cylinder head Guru - Darin Morgan. Extremely knowledgeable guy. 3 hot tips in port choice: ... Velocity, Velocity and Velocity. Darin shared his experience, "I decreased flow by 30 cfm and the motor picked up 80hp" We also discussed Reher Morrisons Reversion plates - these fit under the Carby and aid in the air flow signal required for a carby. Darin said these units have consistently made improvements on all motors. Some more than others. The Reher Morrison Anti Reversion plates broaden the power curve of your motor. Great for competition and great for the street! PPW will be stocking these items very shortly.
