25.01.2022 Thank you to the truly Amazing Chris Anderson who has designed our new logo and dragged us kicking and screaming into the 21st century ! We approached Chris and asked if he could prepare our program for Side Show and make us look a little more professional and along with the Beautiful Jaz Wickson doing our new website , they have made us look like we finally have a direction and place in theatre . Love you both so much and consider you family and always will have a place for you at Theatre of the Damned
24.01.2022 Perhaps when painting set for our productions this may come in handy Derek Ingles
23.01.2022 CANDLE IN THE WINDOW I don’t know if this will work but I am once again watching a streaming of another of my relatives friends funerals who are no longer with... us . And due to this terrible virus controlling the world there are limited amount of people allowed to attend the funeral . People are dying with no relatives or friends around them , either through old age , covid , accidents or other forms of illness . I have decided that as a mark of respect to all who cannot receive that final hug , kiss or touch on the night 1st of September I will be placing a candle in my window just to let them know we are thinking of them as they end their life’s journey . I know that they have had the finest of care from our truly amazing health workers and now it’s time for us all to stand up and take the initiative. Please share if you like and hopefully this might help the healing of the heart See more
20.01.2022 Wow it’s been a year since these beautiful ladies and our amazing cast blew us away with the way they performed this production of IF/THEN. Although this was our last production and had hit the peak our little company had achieved so far we are so proud of everything that our performers/family have given us so far and look forward to the future with Side Show and Ladies in Black on the horizon in the not so distant future . To say that I look forward to having our group back ...on stage is an understatement and although my job is to stand side of the amazing audiences that have built our company also , the feels that I receive just by witnessing your awesome talents has certainly kept myself and Elise Cynthia Dahl focused and driven to keep this company moving forward in the midst of this global pandemic. Stay safe ,stay strong , love you all See more
18.01.2022 Tonight and tomorrow the cast of Wish upon a song in Geelong hit the stage at Costa Hall , we have all struggled to return to stage after Covid and if you can head along and purchase a ticket please do so . We all need theatre back in our lives and a little less Covid Drama !! Chookas to Wish upon a Song
18.01.2022 On Friday we honoured our commitment to donate the takings less expenses to our Wednesday 5th May production of SIDE SHOW to a close friend to the theatre community in Geelong who is struggling with ill health . And though we made that commitment on the basis we were doing a Sunday performance as an extra that we would not need the extra funds , although we cancelled the Sunday performance we still made a promise and you full fill a promise and come through with the pledge of... $2080 . We are also lucky enough to own accomodation in Warnambool called Castaway Lagoon and could also give a weeks accomodation there to help with a bit of rehab after treatments . The theatre community is lucky to have people like Anita Barlow Burman in their corner . Please remember also that in this time post Covid lockdown ,that some others could be really struggling at the moment and could use a friend or a coffee and a chat , it doesn't take much to lend an ear or even some support . Remember we are all one big Family and we should all support each other as Families should !! See more

12.01.2022 Theatre of the Damned and especially Elise Cynthia Dahl are over the moon and extremely overjoyed not to be nominated for any thing at this time but just to be able to clean out our lounge room of costumes for our 2 postponed productions of Side Show and Ladies in Black and actually be able to see our floor again and realising we have a dining table and lounge suite in that part of the house ! 09.01.2022 Keep it classy.
09.01.2022 In a world before COVID, tonight would have been our opening night for "Ladies in Black". A wonderful musical version of the well known Australian Play/Movie. Our cast are looking forward to when they will be able to take the stage, bringing this new Musical to Geelong, whenever that will be... In the meantime, enjoy a snippet from the Sydney Lyric Theatre. We hope to see you at the theatre post covid.
08.01.2022 Please remember as you come out of lock down , that a lot of small businesses have been struggling and their are close to breaking point , buying a coffee or so...me take away , washing a dog , doing your hair , a massage , a bit of personal pampering will all help to kick start again . Let’s all step up and part with a few $$$$ to help some one reboot and bring a smile back to not only their faces but that of their kids . Feel free to share and get this going around Facebook as everything will help others in some small way ! See more
08.01.2022 My seriously warped sense of humour finally paid off , I just want everyone to have a laugh and relive some memories and forget this crap virus . Lets beat this thing and get back to the theatre where you all belong . Love you all . Stay Safe , Stay Strong
08.01.2022 We are saddened by the loss of two great theatre people who will be sadly missed by Geelong’s theatre community. Although both were apart of Gpac/GAC and our company had no real association professionally, we have know both Laz Domonkos and Betty Clarke for a very long time through our connection with other theatre groups and also Michelle Domonkos who’s experience with help setting up our lighting at Shenton has been much appreciated. Our heart goes out to Michelle at this terribly sad time , and condolences to both families at their loss . Geelong theatre has taken a massive step back at the loss of two amazing people and hope the theatre community take a moment reflect and appreciate their legacy . Rip Laz and Betty
08.01.2022 Support for our friends from Centrestage's West Side Story!! Although we at Theatre of the Damned do not support recent comments made by David about the future of community theatre in the Geelong region and our views are some what different in other areas at times , we never want to see a production cancelled after the cast and team have made such a fantastic effort to bring this show to stage . We feel for all of you at this time as we know the time and effort required to g...et this off the ground in the first place and the commitment of cast and crew to get the show to the opening night curtain. It must have been gut wrenching to know that all your hard work will not be rewarded but you should take something from the connections and experience gained and move forward from that with confidence . From what we have heard it was to be a great production and we look forward to seeing you all after this crappy virus is beaten once and for all . Do not look back and think what if , Look forward and make things better in the future . STAY SAFE , STAY STRONG See more
06.01.2022 For those of you who came along to watch our very first show of Altar Boyz you may remember this amazing man who we are so lucky to call part of our family . I thought I could not be more proud of him for the help he gave us but after watching this ! Proud is an understatement and I know we cannot claim him as our own but I’m going to any way . Love you Andrew Perry come back to Geelong soon
06.01.2022 We at Theatre of the Damned have been brainstorming for something to bring us together , become a little more social , raise some money and awareness and also help out other groups in the arts by allocating a percentage of what we collect during fund raising to other like minded groups nominated by you ! And to do so with something affordable, social where able and as we said help others regardless of the who the group is or any bias . It can be another theatre group , danc...e school / group , costume supplier , singing group , arts related projects ect . Our plan is something weekly that $1 per week for 1 chance to be involved and you can stop at any time or $5 per week will give you 5 chances but also a bonus chance . There will also be a social event connected to this weekly when social distancing allows but more information on that will follow shortly . But if you are keen to support not just us but also another group by way of piggy back support , share this around and stay tuned while we finalise the details and get this happening. Above all stay safe

05.01.2022 A little bit of history on our Theatre home Shenton Performing Arts Centre , Hoping to be back soon , doing what we love !! Today on the corner of Ryrie and Garden Street, the Geelong High School theatre and hall are situated, but for many years this was the site of a Methodist Church. We lived in the manse for nine years but when the High School bought the property it became a music workshop. The name Shenton still stands. 02.01.2022 When we started this company we made a decision to never do anything on Father’s Day or Mother’s Day because for all the Dads and Mums that do so much to get their kids , young adults and adults on our stage we are eternally grateful and COVID-19 made sure it definitely didn’t happen this year also !! So to all the Dads happy Father’s Day and carry on as all fathers do
