12.01.2022 Sourcing fabric for my Indigenous collection is proving interesting. After a lot of research, I have discovered that many of the fabrics available, labelled as Indigenous or Aboriginal are actually not the genuine article. Many are printed in Korea and China, with no credit to the artist, and this makes me query the origin of the artwork. So - The fabrics I will be using have been manufactured and printed in Australia and have the name of the artist and the region credited. The story will also be included where available. This information will be with each bag in my shop www.totelybags.com.au and also included in a paper version inside each bag. Im still waiting for the bulk of my fabric to arrive.
