24.01.2022 Totes Yours might be a little quieter (than we all expected) in the lead up to Christmas but this just happened today!! It’s certainly going to be the most expensive piece of vinyl I’ll ever apply (and don’t judge my application of this vinyl... I should have bought my application tools with me ) I had grand plans for my Christmas range over the next few weeks but turns out the universe had bigger plans for me. A quick settlement means I won’t be taking or making any orders during the week of 7th December so if you’ve been eyeing something off order sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

19.01.2022 Freedom is not free... It's the sacrifice of a husband leaving his wife. A mother leaving her child. A young boy who never got to grow into a man. Nightmares they can never escape for images they should never have had to see and scars far deeper than what lay on the surface. May we never forget the fallen and salute the serving. ... They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lest we forget

17.01.2022 Raising money for the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick!! On the 2nd of December $1 from every milkshake sold at Parry's Milk Bar will be donated to the S...ydney Children's Hospital Randwick. Please help get behind this beautiful cause. The backstory Hi, my name is Barbra, the new owner of Parry's Milk Bar. For anyone that knows me, knows that Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year, there's something magical in the air at this time. I have been nicknamed the griswalds with my Christmas lights at home for all the children to enjoy; one year I even had a surprise for all the street kids, Santa's sleigh had crashed over night on my lawn on Christmas morning and he dropped a package of presents for all the kids in the street to enjoy. I always eagely awaited the 1st of December to put up all the Christmas lights and sprinkle the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, this lead up now to Christmas at this time of the year is particularly dificult for me, very difficult actually, extremely painful as now this day marks the anniversary of the day my almost three year old son Cody drowned in a backyard pool incident on the 1st of December 2013. This day would change everything in my life as I knew it forever. I stopped putting up the Christmas tree and lights on this day because how could I any longer celebrate this exciting time of year when something so tragic and significant occured. The 1st of December became one of the most difficult and gutwrenching days for me to sit through. It still is. I now have a beautiful 3 year old daughter Jordan and a beautiful 13 year old son Jackson who deserves to enjoy that Christmas spirit again which i always sprinkled with such delight. On the 2nd of December 2013 I was sitting in intensive care at the Royal Randwick Children's Hospital with Cody in my arms and I couldn't let go. He was being kept alive only by machines though he was already gone. The staff waited until I was ready to turn off the machines where he would take his last breath forever. I couldn't let go. This year I want to celebrate his life rather than sit in self pity even though as I write this, the pain is real. So on the 1st of December this year I intend to put my Christmas tree up and celebrate Cody's life and watch my children enjoy the spirit of Christmas once again. On the 2nd of December I will continue with my tradition of releasing balloons at Salmon Haul at the beach and I invite you to join me in giving back to the Royal Randwick Children's Hospital by buying a milkshake to enjoy and kick off that Christmas sparkle that really is magical. Gosh knows with 2020 and Covid we all deserve a little Christmas sparkle. Every milkshake sold on the 2nd of December I will donate $1 to the Royal Randwick Children's Hospital. For many years I have bought presents and balloons and taken them to the hospital to hand out to the children who are in such need of cheering up. This year I invite you to be a part of this. If anyone is interested in dropping off a small gift to Parry's Milk Bar for the kids at Royal Randwick Children's Hospital I will gladly accept and deliver to the children. Thank you so much to those who would like to support bringing back the Christmas cheer this year, buying a milkshake on this day has so much significance and meaning and I appreciate deeply every purchase.

17.01.2022 When notification of boarders closed late this afternoon & the realisation of our families Christmas suddenly got cut in half and we can’t be together (which is not great when we have such a small family as it is) this popped up... T'was a week before Christmas, And all through the town, People wore masks,... That covered their frown. The frown had begun Way back in the Spring, When a global pandemic Changed everything. They called it corona, But unlike the beer, It didn’t bring good times, It didn’t bring cheer. Airplanes were grounded, Travel was banned. Borders were closed Across air, sea and land. As the world entered lockdown To flatten the curve, The economy halted, And folks lost their nerve. From March to July We rode the first wave, People stayed home, They tried to behave. When summer emerged The lockdown was lifted. But away from caution, Many folks drifted. Now it’s December And cases are spiking, Wave two has arrived, Much to our disliking. It’s true that this year Has had sadness a plenty, We’ll never forget The year 2020. And just ‘round the corner - The holiday season, But why be merry? Is there even one reason? To decorate the house And put up the tree, Who will see it, No one but me. But outside my window The snow gently falls, And I think to myself, Let’s deck the halls! So, I gather the ribbon, The garland and bows, As I play those old carols, My happiness grows. Christmas is not cancelled And neither is hope. If we lean on each other, I know we can cope See more
