21.01.2022 Year 12 Graduation On Friday night we attended the Western Access Program Year 12 Graduation held at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Our staff joined Michelle, Kayla, their families and the Year 12 graduates and families from the other four WAP schools to celebrate 13 years of schooling. Students attending were presented with their Graduation certificates, along with Certificates of Achievement and Certificates of Excellence. Some highlights of the night included Michelle being... awarded with Vocational Education and Training Student of the Year and a Consistent Achievers Award (ranking top three in three or more courses). 21.01.2022 3-6 Excursion Today, we have a very tired group of staff and students after a very big three days on excursion to Burrendong Sport & Rec. Activities undertaken included kayaking, grass skiing, archery, slip and slide, low ropes course, mini olympics and initiative games. The trip also included an excursion to the Wellington Caves. This excursion was heavily subsidised by the school and our P&C, but in particular by our great supporters, Robinson Grain Trading Co Pty Ltd. Amanda Thorpe- Principal

20.01.2022 Hot Hot Hot! Well that escalated quickly! Today and next week we will have the library open at lunch for students to escape the heat. Thank goodness for our new air conditioners. Please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle (or two) and a hat.

19.01.2022 Tuesday- school swimming scheme & Year 7 orientation day. Wednesday- school swimming scheme, Kinder orientation and Kinder 2021 parent session. Thursday- school swimming scheme.



17.01.2022 K/1/2 Excursion to Dubbo. Today, our K/1/2 students went on a trip to Dubbo. The excursion included a visit to Western Plains Cultural Centre to see a 1950’s classroom exhibit. We also went to Dubbo Regional Theatre & Convention Centre to see Magic Beach. Of course, no excursion is complete without a play at the local playground! This morning, we have cleaned out the Hospitality room and have all this surplus stuff to giveaway. 09.01.2022 FUTURE REAL ESTATE AGENT This week I was fortunate to have an off-sider assisting me with my day to day duties. Isaac from Tottenham Central School has jus...t completed five full days work experience at Raine & Horne Dubbo learning the ins and outs of a real estate agency. Thanks Isaac it has been an absolute pleasure to show you everything I know. I hope you have enjoyed the week and are able to take home a few new skills. 09.01.2022 Paper Plane Challenge During Science Week Mrs Baker entered our students into the 2020 STANSW Young Scientist Paper Plane Challenge. We had paper planes flying around everywhere, competing in the air time and distance events. The 2020 STANSW Young Scientist Paper Plane Challenge had winners from Iran, Queensland, Victoria, ACT, WA and NSW. Winners included our very own Lachie Makim who won the Year 11 Distance event!

Students who have overdue books will be sent home a gentle reminder, with the title and author listed, to help them find any lost books. They will also be reminded in class. ...
