24.01.2022 If you are starting to think about your travel plans for next year, we wouldn't be surprised if peace and tranquility were at the top of your must-haves list. Located on the lavender-producing Pereto estate, on the Umbrian-Tuscan border between Città del Castello and Perugia, Stallina is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Plus, if you're visiting Tuscany for the second, third or fiftieth time, this villa gives you the opportunity to explore somewhere new - perhaps Città del Castello, Sansepolcro, Gubbio, Perugia or Assisi; all within easy reach. 24.01.2022 Did you know Tuscany has more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than South Africa and Australia?

22.01.2022 Sweeping views, a fragrant garden bursting with lavender, and a private swimming pool await at Poggetto, a lovely stone villa in the heart of the Chianti countryside. If you’re seeking an escape from the strains of everyday life, this is the place to stay. Poggetto: https://tinyurl.com/y2fydbrj

21.01.2022 South of Gaiole in Chianti, Castagnoli is a small stone-built village surmounted by a medieval fortress. Known as the Rocca di Castagnoli, this stark fortress was besieged by the Sienese in 1478. From both the Rocca and the village extend views of spindly cypresses, olive groves, olives and vineyards. Be sure to sample Rocca di Castagnoli wines before you set off to explore the rest of the Chianti region...you won't regret it! https://www.to-tuscany.com//town/siena-chianti/castagnoli/

18.01.2022 Pianvecchio is the ultimate family villa. Not only does it have all the luxuries you could hope for from a Tuscan villa - private pool, gym, steam room, outstanding countryside views - it has incredible extras that will make it a favourite home from home for all generations. The kids will love the playground and trampoline (as will you!), whilst the adults will delight in the on-site wine cellar where you can buy wines from the owner's estate without even leaving the house! We think it's fair to guess that everyone will love the bean bag sun loungers! Pianvecchio: http://tinyurl.com/y6obgy95

18.01.2022 There are a lot of reasons to love Valliole but right now, we cannot stop looking at its beautiful view...even if it is through our screens. Valliole: https://tinyurl.com/y48myy3h

13.01.2022 It is no secret that Tuscany produces some of the most delicious wine in the world. Visitors flock each year to the famous Chianti region to sample the best tipples the region has to offer. If wine tasting is on your list of things to do during your next visit to Tuscany, why not take the Chianti wine trail? The Chiantigiana (or simply the SR 222), the road connecting Florence to Siena, is one of the most beautiful driving routes in Italy, passing acre upon acre of vineyards producing the world-famous Chianti Classico DOCG. In our Travel Guide, we give you the insider tips on when to visit, which wineries to stop at and what other delicacies to try along the way. Wine Trail: https://tinyurl.com/y3zrbkru

13.01.2022 Around this time each year, these trees lose their leaves but their marvellous orange fruit remains. Can you name them?

13.01.2022 Villa Capalbio offers a unique blend of style and comfort, panoramic views of rolling countryside and an excellent location close to the Tuscan coast. Even with a full house of 15, you will have oodles of space here, whether you're inside or out. The beautifully landscaped gardens and substantial private pool make it easy to relax in the Tuscan sunshine. Whilst the contemporary Italian interiors will welcome you after a day of exploring the local medieval villages and the grandeur of Grosseto. The perfect escape for 2021. 13.01.2022 This month is all about wine festivals in Tuscany. If you are lucky enough to visit our favourite region in September you can expect to see grape harvesters selecting the best bunches for the famous Tuscany tipple. The vines are laden with fruit, the leaves have turned to golden and russet shades, which means its time for the vendemmia (grape harvest). Look out for wine tastings, festivals and special events throughout the region this month. Credit: Lukasz Szwaj/Shutterstock

12.01.2022 Location, location, location. Fienile San Carlo certainly has an incredible one. And to top it off, this villa boasts a private two-tiered pool, incredible gardens and carefully-considered interiors. Fienile San Carlo: https://www.to-tuscany.com/fienilesancarlo/

10.01.2022 "What a fantastic piece of paradise. After a long drive from the UK this summer we stayed 18 nights at this property and were so happy we made the journey. The apartment was so clean and had everything we needed to make us comfortable, a well stocked kitchen with utensils. The Hosts were fantastic and made lots of recommendations of where to go and restaurants and so helpful, they kept very discreet the whole visit and were constantly cleaning the pool area, terrace and BBQ. A short 3 minute walk to the small town with many restaurants at tourist prices. The local wine in the area was fabulous and worth wine tasting whilst there." From a very happy guest who has just returned from Casa Paccheo Casa Paccheo: https://www.to-tuscany.com/casapaccheo/

10.01.2022 Gaiole in Chianti is one of our guests' favourite towns in Tuscany and who can argue? Immersed in the Chianti countryside, filled with lovely restaurants and shops, and oozing Tuscan charm, this little town is ideal for first timers and returning visitors alike. This is one of the reasons why our guests love Le Cerreta so much. It's sat atop a sunlit hill just a short distance from Gaiole and offers a wonderful base for enjoying your Tuscany holiday. Le Cerreta: https://www.to-tuscany.com/lecerreta/

08.01.2022 Now is one of the best times of year to visit a beach in Tuscany - the weather is still warm enough to enjoy being outside and you are likely to have it almost to yourself. Since the schools reopened last month and people have returned from their summer holidays, you will have space to just take in the beauty of the Tuscan coastline. Whether you prefer stretches of golden sand or a wilder beach, Tuscany offers something for everyone.

08.01.2022 Take a stroll around Castellina in Chianti, sat atop its gentle arc of hills. Alike its wine-country neighbours, Castellina exuberates Tuscan charm and gives a familiar feeling from the moment you step onto its streets. As you can probably guess, you will find great wine here so a visit wouldn't be complete without stopping by a few of the local wineries. But for even more indulgence, pop into Gelateria Castellina to taste curious flavours: perfect for foodies and sweet-lovers alike. Simone has been making ice cream for over twenty years and prides himself on his creative flair. His favourite creation? Cantuccini and Vin Santo (almond biscuits with sweet Tuscan wine). Delicious! A walk may be in order after tucking into all these local treats. Fortunately, Castellina is ideal for exploring. Castellina: http://tinyurl.com/y5j73nmp

07.01.2022 Truly magical during the day and at night. Il Villino is a wonderful villa that just has everything going for it - gorgeous countryside views, ample space, just 20 minutes from Siena, a private pool, lovely garden and its own spa. Il Villino: https://tinyurl.com/yxdm9vgt

06.01.2022 Dating back to the 17th Century, the quiet estate of Navico is set in the middle of olive groves and vineyards; perfectly suited for relaxing in a calm atmosphere. The hamlet has recently been thoughtfully restored, offering nine properties, all showcasing original features and charm. Each villa boasts access to the beautiful shared swimming pool and communal gardens. We have the pleasure of offering two of the nine villas*: Il Melograno and Antico Cipresso. Found to the fro...nt of the old mansion house, Il Melograno feels like you have stepped on an Italian filmset, with its terracotta tiled ceilings and wooden beams throughout. And step out onto its private terrace and you will easily be able to while away a few hours simply soaking in the wonderful views across the Tuscan hills and the village of Panzano. *Most of the villas are privately owned and are rarely occupied, which means the combined occupancy at the hamlet rarely exceeds 10 people at one time. https://tinyurl.com/y2sxtae5 See more

06.01.2022 You may be familiar with Montalcino thanks to its prestigious Brunello de Montalcino wine. But this wonderful town has more to offer than just its delicious tipple. If nothing else, it is simply beautiful. Immersed in the breathtaking Val d'Orcia Natural Park, west of Pienza, you can admire the rolling hills dotted with yellow and red flowers, ancient oak trees, far-reaching olive groves and vineyards and winding country roads from atop the town. Be sure not to miss how the sunset bathes the town in a russet glow. If that wasn't enough, walk the streets and soak up the history of the place; after all very little has changed since the 16th century. Montalcino: https://tinyurl.com/y6yy69je

03.01.2022 A lovely review from a wonderful family who stayed in Casa Rocchi this summer: "We had a wonderful holiday at Casa Rocchi. The outdoor area offers everything your heart desires. A huge garden that is fantastically laid out. Vegetables and fruit that you could help yourself to. Its own bocce court, sauna, whirlpool, pool, grill and pizza oven. In addition, great seating. The air conditioning in the house was sufficient. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. It is also very nice that every bedroom has a bathroom. That was really super convenient with 2 teenagers. We would spend our vacation there again. The owners were warm and accommodating." Casa Rocchi: https://tinyurl.com/y67yqsvl

02.01.2022 "It was a wonderful relaxing holiday, we were welcomed in a friendly manner and everything was straightforward. The house is incredibly quiet in the middle of olive groves and vineyards. It's awesome. There were only two of us, but several families can go on vacation here and are alone" A lovely review from a couple who have recently returned from Casa Campodonico 6.
