25.01.2022 By now, you would have heard about new restrictions in force from 6pm this evening. Due to a lack of clarity around how these restrictions will affect community sport, we have decided that the best course of action for this week is to play it safe and postpone our social competitions at Albert Park and Fawkner Park for this week. If competitions are permitted to take place under these revised restrictions, we will commence competitions next week (1st June), with the appropri...ate controls and COVID-Safe plans in place. The revised draws will be made available towards the end of the week. At this stage, this decision to postpone competitions affects only our Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday competitions. The impact of this decision on the Sunday’s Junior VT League will be assessed over the coming days.

17.01.2022 Touch Football Victoria is calling for nominations for the State and Territory Advisory Committee. At a recent meeting of the TFA Board of Directors it was resolved to alter the structure of the current State and Territory Advisory Committees (STACs) with immediate effect. 17.01.2022 GUESS WHOS BACK! The Andrew's announcement today confirms that outdoor contact sport may resume with a limit of 500 people per outdoor gathering as of midnight tonight. Our team will be working as quickly as we can to ensure all competitions and affiliate set to commence this week are covid compliant and equipped provide the best experience for all involved. Further direction will be communicated to our members tomorrow.... Thank you Victoria for the sacrifices you have made to get us here. Our community has continued to demonstrate resilience, optimism and the upmost support for our team with every hurdle 2020 has thrown at us. We know our return will look a little different however we are thrilled that our members are free to get back on the field and official tap off a summer of touch footy!

07.01.2022 As of 11:59pm this evening, Victoria will be entering a 7 Day lockdown to combat the new threat raised by COVID-19. Under this lockdown, there are only 5 reasons to leave your home. Community Sport is not permitted, and all Touch Football competitions over the next 7 days will be postponed, including the next round of the Junior VT League, as well as any affiliate competition. We will assess the impact on future events as the roadmap out of this lockdown becomes clearer.

04.01.2022 2020 has been a year like no other. It's now time to take a break and gear up for what will be a busy summer season of Touch Football in 2021. The Touch Football Victoria office will close over the Christmas Break, and staff will ben unavailable until Monday January 4. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday period, and we will see you next year!

04.01.2022 *Albert Park and Fawkner Park Competitions Update* Sunday's announcement of easing restrictions was great news for Contact Sport, and if restrictions ease as expected, we will have the green light to return to sport soon. Plenty of work has gone in behind the scenes to return to competition as soon as possible. However, due to the tight turnaround time, and the vast amount of work still required to plan a COVID-Safe return to competition, we will need to move the start date o...f the competitions at Albert and Fawkner Park beyond what we had originally planned. We will now plan for a December 1 start to competitions at Albert and Fawkner Park. This extra week will allow TFV to meet all COVID-Safe obligations, as well as ensure as many people as possible have the chance to join in the competitions. 03.01.2022 We're hopeful that we'll be out of Lockdown 4.0 soon, and we hope you're staying safe and well.
