23.01.2022 I'm writing again at the moment and one of the subjects is complexity. So I thought I'd share this with you and its nothing new. Some people encounter complexity like some overwhelming giant, then they go to deal with it and fairly quickly give up or give in.... Complexity basically means the bringing together of things that don't flex. Their ridged sets of things that you don't know how to work with. If you treat a complexity and a singular thing (this problem) you have not trained your mind to see or evaluate that the complexity is a set of things that can be separated into pieces to be worked through individually until each piece is understood and become malleable in your comprehension. The root cause of, avoidance of complexity, is not laziness, it's a desire to think that you should know. That is called EGO! Grow, oh please grow. Namaste Ross

20.01.2022 Notes for people who have finished Sadhana preparation and are at level 1. the practice you are on now is the reverse of the first, 27 in 27 out 26 in 26 out, it deepens concentration. if you don't get to 1 no big thing if you forget where you are up to you just start again that is self-honesty, if you don't get to 1. in the 5 minutes no biggy that doesn't matter if you have the time and you get to one all good. If you miss practice you go back to day one, it's like the real world you builds in consequence

16.01.2022 I'm preparing for a conversation with my 9 year old granddaughter about the next round of covid, if that responsibility falls to me. So I used the reverse mentoring method and asked her how she would help someone who wasn't feeling strong inside because something had gone wrong in their world. She said " Well I would have to know what" and I said " well it could be anything like a monkey biting toes or a farting disease. She said "I'd tell them there is always an answer," I s...aid "always ?" And she said "yep, there's always an answer" So I asked her if she knew what optimism was and she said "no" with a curious face. So I explained about looking on the dark side of worry or the bright side of finding an answer. She said, "well there's always an answer" then looked at me as if she had helped me most profusely, looked at the floor, and walked away. You might guess I love that Kid

14.01.2022 I was talking with a friend Jeff yesterday. In brief, the subject frame was about peoples minds being scripted by television or media. The base preface is our minds are a product of our inputs. We were talking about behavior both personal and societal and Jeff brought up the subject of pain as a natural part of consequence when things go wrong or we do wrong things.... Now let me say I dont have a simple ready answer to if its right to protect or shield others from the pain that might occur as a consequence for their actions. But I do know that the life lessons learnt from understanding the seriousness of the consequences that bring us pain are lessons we learn well. For example, if you pick up a burning piece of timber because you get burnt. The problem with not experiencing consequence is (in my opinion) we become a part of an abrigation which allows the falsehood of blame-shifting excuses diminished self-worth and a few dozen other things that serve to rob from our resilience self-esteem psychological and emotional wellbeing. I understand it is a big subject and I would appreciate your opinion. Will you please let me have your thoughts. Ross

11.01.2022 Get your head around this if you can., I had a chat with a friend of mine Trevor Lewis today and it prompted me to put a post up about personal time audits. It is what it sounds like. You clock yourself for time 24 7 and you get to see where you waste time where you are efficient with time and a whole mix of things. ... Many of you will expect to find a few surprises but the depth of where your time goes is very surprising for most people. Now please don't get me wrong time relaxing is not wasted time, nothing like it. However, it's common for people to evaluate a 20 to 30% range where their activities can be better utilized. Think of it another way, it's like getting 20 to 30% more out of life. There are actually some great stats on how many people will actually bother to do the time audit and you are asked please please please be one of that small minority of people. In fact, when you do it, you have to keep notes. Bring your notes for one week to class to verify your action and I'll give you a FREE YOGA CLASS. Also, Trev and I are actively talking about him using his production skills to do video production for Touch Heart Yoga. In early discussions (pre this announcement) with people who have shown interest most of the available places in the class are booked. I believe there are only 5 places left.... 03.01.2022 A Hindu saint who was visiting the river Ganges to bathe found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned to his discipl...es smiled and asked: ‘Why do people shout in anger at each other?’ Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our calm, we shout.’ ‘But why should you shout when the other person is right next to you?, asked the saint. ‘You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner.’ Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples. Finally the saint explained, ‘When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance. What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either nonexistent or very small’ The saint continued, ‘When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper, then they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that’s all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.’ He looked at his disciples and said, ‘So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.’
