18.01.2022 As of tomorrow (Friday June 4) we are still unable to visit our customers and their pianos in their homes - at least until next Friday - pending further relaxing of Regional Vic Covid restrictions. Those of you with appointments booked in - we'll be in touch. Piano Removals and deliveries are still possible, and tunings in venues and institutions are ok - just not in private homes.... Our apologies for any inconvenience. Feel free to pop into the shop though and choose your new piano or select from amongst a wide range of music accessories. Our opening hours will be back to normal. 9.30-5 Mon-Fri

10.01.2022 Something a bit out of the ordinary...a 50 kilo upright piano... developed in Scandinavia, using modern composite materials and with a traditional mechanism, strings and a spruce soundboard. To keep the weight down and keep it portable, it only has one string per note, most pianos have two or three per note. Still, it's good to see people thinking outside the box! ...and NO, we are not thinking of stocking these...

09.01.2022 It’s been a super-duper fortnight at Touchstone Pianos. We’d sold all of our digital stock and a huge chunk of acoustic pianos too. Thankfully the boys from Perfect Piano Removals have come to the rescue as did @Kawai Australia. It was a hive of activity at 7.30 this morning. We finally have some digital piano stock on hand that won’t last...if you’ve been thinking about one, get in quick!
