18.01.2022 COVID-19 Update for Remedial & Therapeutic Massage. There's been quite a bit of confusion about what we are and are not allowed to do recently and remedial massage has certainly been one of those topics. As a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) for 14 years, I have always taken my advice from these professionals and they too take advice from the recommendations of both the Federal and State Governments.... At the start of the COVID-19 situation, some of these guidelines were not as clear as they are now. Touchwood Massage Therapy was asked to close by local authorities on Thursday 2nd April. So... I put the business into hibernation (as the Govt has called it) for the last few weeks. I am now so pleased to let you know that there have been further clarifications from both the ATMS and the NSW Govt in regards to REMEDIAL AND THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE. Touchwood Massage Therapy is an allied health professional offering remedial therapeutic massage and therefore OPEN for appointments. If you schedule an appointment with me, you are allowed to be travelling to and from that appointment.
