25.01.2022 Good morning everyone. You may have heard just recently that dance studios can open from 13 June. Unfortunately, this does not include us. We cannot re-open until Central Coast Council says we can. Once we get the go ahead to open, and the rules and conditions under which we can operate, the Board will meet to plan how we commence. We will, of course, keep you informed via our Facebook page, our website www.toukley50plus.com.au, and our member emails. In the meatime, keep tuning in to our live video classes. Please take care and stay safe.

25.01.2022 Good morning all Club Members. There is a rumour circulating that Toukley 50 Plus Centre may never open again. As far as we are aware, this is FAKE NEWS. Our last advice from Council (received last week) is that Council Buildings will remain closed until the end of June.... Once we receive confirmation from Council that we can re-open, the Board will meet to determine how we proceed. We will, of course, keep our members informed as much as we can. Please pass this information onto your friends who are not on Facebook.

25.01.2022 Hello to all you good people of Toukley 50 Plus Leisure and Learning Centre. I hope you are finding ways to enjoy yourselves while staying safe, sane and healthy! To people who have written a note back from previous emails, thanks for your encouragement and inspiration. While some are trying out new technologies to keep in touch, others are calling friends or family to check that theyre ok. Please continue to stay safe and be kind to each other!... My thoughts will be with people as they commemorate ANZAC day this Saturday. Without the marches and group gatherings, it is still an important day to remember the men and women who made such a significant contribution to the lives we live now. We will remember them... With best wishes till we meet again, Secretary Lyn.

24.01.2022 Hi everyone. I've had a few enquiries about our craft classes. At this stage, the only activities going back on 6 July are Tai Chi, Yoga and Line Dancing. This is because there is no shared equipment in these classes.Other classes will gradually be added. Please understand that we are being guided by Council guidelines. There will be no Canteen facilities or buses for some time.... As classes go back, you will be advised via Facebook, our web page and your Convenor. We thank you for your patience and hope you stay safe and well. Cheers Lynn Wheildon, Treasurer

24.01.2022 Wow, what a morning! Toukley 50 Plus Line Dancers held a beginners' social this morning to raise funds for the farmers. We had 100 dancers on the floor and raised $2,650 which was donated to Need for Feed via The Toukley Lions Club. I can't thank enough all my wonderful dancers, and other people within the club, who supported this great cause. I am so proud of my dancers that we could achieve this result for our struggling farmers. Thank you all.

22.01.2022 Good morning everyone. We hope you are all keeping well? Unfortunately, we set an optimistic date for re-opening the Centre on 14 April. This will not be happening. So, the latest on our re-opening date is: We will let you know when we have a better idea ourselves.... We will follow government guidelines and open only when it seems like Coronavirus is under control. We encourage all our members to keep active - perhaps practice your Line Dancing, do a bit of Yoga in the lounge room or Tai Chi in the garden. It is important at this uncertain time to keep physically active and look after our mental health. We ask that you please pass this information onto club members who are not on facebook or on our email list. Stay well, stay safe and be kind to each other.

The Centre has a COVID-safe plan in place and social distancing will be maintained. Our COVID-safe plan also means that we must record details of every person who enters the building. With this, and cleaning between classes to slow things down, please be patient. PLEASE REMEMBER: IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL, OR HAVE BEEN TO ANY OF THE HOT SPOTS, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE CLUB. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OUR MEMBERS. We look forward to seeing you back in the Centre sometime soon. In the meantime, take care and stay safe.

20.01.2022 Wow, where has that four weeks gone? The Club re-opens tomorrow. While some activities won't return for a couple more weeks, there is always plenty to do at the Club. During the break the kitchen has been painted and a new canteen counter has been installed - they both look terrific. We have also installed a new coffee machine. Our wonderful volunteer canteen staff will be back on deck to provide you with fresh sandwiches, cakes, and coffee and tea. So if you've nothing better to do, come in and meet some of our members and enjoy a nice cuppa!

15.01.2022 Last updated: 11 July, 2020 The Centre partially opened on 6 July for limited activities. The Board of Management will meet on Thursday, 16 July to determine our next phase of opening. 10.01.2022 Good morning to all my line dancing friends and 50 Plus Club members. Due to the ongoing problem with the Corona Virus the Central Coast Council has advised that all 50 Plus Leisure Centres on the Coast should close. Therefore, Toukley 50 Plus Leisure Centre will close its doors today until further notice. The Clubs Board of Management will review the situation after the Easter break.... I ask that you please share this information with your friends who are on Facebook and with any club members you know who are not on Facebook. As a result of this, Debs Birthday social planned for Saturday is also cancelled. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, but we are only thinking of our members health and safety. We ask that you all take care during this crazy time and, most of all, be kind to each other.

09.01.2022 Toukley 50 Plus Leisure Centre is closed for the Christmas Holidays. The Club will re-open on Monday, 15 January, 2018. If you are over 50 and you are looking for something to do, why not come along to our Club and have a look at the wonderful activities and facilities that we have to offer. We look forward to seeing you there.
