25.01.2022 The outlook for the Centre is a little more positive, with more activities starting on Wednesday, 5 August. Unfortunately, there are still some activities that will not be able to recommence on that date. These activities will be looked at further in September. Central Coast Council will inform us of the strategic changes for the following activities: Walkers Group... Mobile Phone and Computer Classes Music Fun Group Mah Jong Cards - Euchre, Bolivia, Bridge, 500 Variety Group Adult Day Care Friday afternoon Tea Dance Until then, these groups will not be able to restart. Tours: Social distancing on our buses prevent any trips for the foreseeable future. As from 5 August, the Canteen will be open from 9.00am for tea, coffee and a packet of wrapped biscuits only. Cost will be $2.00. All of the above can be changed at any time due to COVID, but we do hope that we will see you all very soon in the Centre. Until then, please take care. Carmen - President

19.01.2022 Dear Members There has been concern about the latest COVID-19 clusters in the Greater Sydney area (which includes the Central Coast) but Toukley 50 Plus Leisure & Learning Centre will re-open as planned on 11 January 2021. Please remember to sign in, sanitise you hands and stay safe as you enter the building. ... We will have a couple of changes: Please wear a mask as you enter the building and keep it on (except when you're eating/drinking or doing a physically active Activity like Line dancing). We don't have a supply of masks, so please bring your own clean mask. When you enter the Centre, you can either use the COVID-Safe 'QR code' to register (this also records the time you enter and exit but you need a smart phone for this), or write your name, suburb and phone number on the list at the desk - as you did before. Don't forget to sanitise your hands and wash them well and often, maintain social distancing (no hugs or kisses!), stay home and get tested as soon as possible if you have any symptoms of a cold or 'flu'. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Activity Co-ordinators. Line dancers should check the Facebook page for any updates from Lynn W. The Centre is busy today with volunteers tidying up after carpet shampooing the floors in the break. Tables and chairs were all over the place when I arrived but have been very efficiently replaced. Everything looks clean and fresh. Thanks to the maintenance crew for this and the upkeep of the buses. Thanks also to the gardeners for spreading mulch and keeping the gardens alive and tidy over the break. We look forward to seeing you back in the Centre soon.
18.01.2022 Last updated: 11 July, 2020 The Centre partially opened on 6 July for limited activities. Please understand that we will not be able to open fully for some time yet due to social distancing restrictions and other safety measures that are in place for our own safety. Current opening hours are:... * Monday - 8.00am to 3.00pm for Tai Chi, Yoga and Line * Dancing * Wednesday - 12.00 midday to 3.00pm for Line Dancing * Friday - 9.00am to 1.00pm for Line Dancing Numbers are limited at these activities and you should contact your Convenor before turning up to join an activity. All members who participated in the activities were glad to be back. The screening and cleaning procedures worked very well. Please do not come to the Centre unless you are participating in one of those activities. If you have any enquiries, please ring the Centre on 4396 5075 during the above times. The Board of Management will meet on Thursday, 16 July to determine our next phase of opening. As activities start coming back, your Convenor will contact you with the details of your specific activity. As more information comes to hand, our website and Facebook page will be updated. In the meantime, take care and stay safe.

THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OUR MEMBERS. We look forward to seeing you back in the Centre sometime soon. In the meantime, take care and stay safe.
