24.01.2022 Committee Positions - if you can help in any of these positions please send us a message or our registrations will NOT be open this year President: Presides at each Committee meeting or any other meetings organised by the centre; Works with committee members and volunteers to enable them to do their roles; Represents the centre when needed, including Association meetings; generally ensures smooth running of centre; presents the President’s report at the Annual General Meeti...ng. Also, fulfils the role of Public Officer of behalf of the centre. Vice President: This role involves supporting the President in overseeing the operations of the centre. The Vice President shall perform all duties of the President in the absence of the President or as directed by the President. Secretary: This role involves managing the communication between the Association and the Centre, preparation of Committee Meetings including agendas and minutes, and the filing of Centre records. Treasurer: Keeps a detailed ledger of all receipts and payments transacted for the centre. Present at each committee meeting a full summary of receipts and expenses, including the bank balance and inventory and stock levels. Pay on invoice only all accounts passed by the Committee. Present to the Annual General Meetings a detailed Financial Statement of Income and Expenditure for the past 12 months. Registrar: Manages the registration process of athletes including setting up and maintaining the online registration at the beginning and middle of each season, receipting manual payments, manning the Registration Desk at all Home Meets; organising/packing and distributing the registration kits for each family.

23.01.2022 Another big Friday night was had at Toukley, with 42 new PBs smashed by our athletes. Special mention to Addison B, Mitchell R, Savannah R, Isla L and Harrison G who all got PBs in 3 out of 4 events. Well Done!!We also had a long standing Centre record from 2013 fall too - Congratulations to Tara H in U17 Triple Jump.

23.01.2022 Results from last Friday are up on Results HQ now. What a phenomenal night!! with a whopping 59 PBs achieved by our 34 attending athletes!! Special mention to Kaitlyn Keating Hewitt who got PBs in all her events.

20.01.2022 Just wanted to let everyone know that our club's Covid plan has been submitted to LANSW and we have a tentative starting date from the council. The next most important thing that has to happen is to hold our AGM so we can begin our new season. The date that has been set down for the AGM is 27th September. All committee positions will be declared vacant on the day. All club members are encouraged to attend. Anyone wanting to stand for any of the positions can you please contact the club. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Meeting will kick off at 6pm, followed by a yummy sausage sizzle for dinner, for those who would like to stay. All positions are vacant. Come and help out our amazing club! 02.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW would like to provide our Centres and Members with an update in relation to Championship (Zone/Region/State) events for the 2020/2021 seaso...n. The Covid-19 Pandemic will have an impact on how we deliver our championship events this season. The board is committed to delivering quality events that keep our members safe. The staff and championships committee have been considering a number of options to achieve this. Whilst we currently do not have the final details we would like to share some of the details with you all: The traditional Zone and Region Championships will not take place this season. A number of State Qualifying meets will be held in the early part of 2021, most likely February. A State Championship Event will be held in March. The full details of the above will be announced in the coming weeks.

01.01.2022 Apologies that this a long post but it contains important information regarding the beginning of the season. Please make sure you come and check in via the QR code as well as signing on child on the normal attendance sheets. It is necessary that every person attending the track is marked as present. There is potential down the track that we may alter the process, however, the actual checking in will not change, until the government changes their policies. There are also occa...sional spot checks done by Athletics officials and NSW Police on clubs, so we need to make sure at all times that we are abiding by the current government guidelines, as well as following our Covid safe plan. If you are unable to use your phone camera to scan the QR code, download the evacheckin app instead. SOCIAL DISTANCING - While on the field, in a helper/assistant capacity, please remember to still maintain that social distancing at all times. Registrations are now OPEN. Please go to www.lansw.com.au Please note: complete the online registration process BEFORE attending a competition night. Only TWO parent/carer PER ATHLETE are permitted to attend. (Committee/officials are exempt) There will be no age baskets this season, ALL athletes are to be responsible for their own drink bottles. A backpack may make things easy. Physical distancing will be required, except during actual competition. Parents/Carers/Family over 70 years of age are advised not to attend. Any person who is unwell should not attend and will be asked to leave if they do attend. All attendees will need to sign in using the QR code register. Each age group will need at least TWO parents/carers to commit to being Marshalls. The Age Marshall will be responsible for supervising athletes, ensuring equipment is cleaned prior to use, measure and record results. When picking up age patches, please discuss with committee members about helping out on a regular basis on our club nights. This is very important as many hands make light work and our club nights will run alot smoother.
