23.01.2022 Why the E-bike revolution? It is a freedom machine for many people including our patients whom we encourage to increase fitness and activity through motion and ...the e-bike provides for that freedom; It allows many with orthopaedic and biomechanical as well as circulatory and neurological conditions to exercise while still assisting their cardio vascular systems to develop; It is a pathway for greater socialisation and networks for people who will otherwise have restrictions imposed on them; It allows for e-bikers to explore terrains, places, elevations that previously reserved only for serious recreational road cyclists. It is a very viable mode of transport and for commuting. It reduces the carbon footprint within the community. An alternate form of transport when so many of our arterial roads and highways are becoming clogged up and congested.

22.01.2022 Dear Shane, John, Larry and Ian, On behalf of the Board of The Ladybird Foundation, thank you for the most generous total donation of $8,000 from the Board of Tour de Gracetown Ltd in relation to the 2020 Tour de Gracetown bike ride event. The official receipt will follow shortly.... 2020 marks the fifth consecutive year in which The Ladybird Foundation has benefitted from this iconic social community charity bike ride and takes the total amount donated to our charity by the Board of Tour de Gracetown Ltd to $56,000. This year has been particularly challenging for most charities and medical researchers so your continued support has been invaluable for us. Your generosity has made a very significant difference to our capacity to continue funding excellent breast and gynaecologic cancer research taking place in Western Australia. Your support has also provided the opportunity for us to raise awareness about our cause within the WA public. Since 2016, The Ladybird Foundation has provided essential funding support that enabled completion of the very large ROLLIS breast cancer clinical trial which is currently awaiting publication of a very positive outcome. In the meantime, the findings have already led to a major change in best clinical practice for women undergoing breast cancer surgery at several major hospitals in WA and interstate. We are very proud of the researchers who have persevered to overcome many obstacles to complete this trial and we look forward to letting you know when the results are published. In addition, we are continuing to provide funding to the ctDNA Pilot Study which is a feasibility study of a blood test that could be provided by PathWest (the WA state pathology service provider) to monitor treatment and follow up of WA women with breast cancer that is nearing completion with very positive initial findings. The Ladybird Foundation has also made a grant of $30,000 to fund the WA component of a large multicenter WA investigator-led Ovarian cancer clinical trial looking at the best way to follow up women following completion of their primary treatment. This trial will commence patient enrolment in WA in January 2021. Most recently, we have granted funds to enable completion of a Gynae-Oncology pilot study currently under way at King Edward Memorial Hospital which will provide vital information about underlying malnutrition in women with gynaecologic cancers at the time they present for treatment. This very practical study has the potential to benefit women by improving treatment outcomes immediately the results are available. The Ladybird Foundation greatly appreciates and values the relationship we have developed with Tour de Gracetown Ltd and our volunteers enjoy assisting at the bike ride events. We look forward to a continued association into the future. Kindest Regards, Dr Pamela Hendry Director The Ladybird Foundation

09.01.2022 Dear John, Ian, Shane and Larry, Thank you so much for the very generous donation presented to us by Shane today and for the wonderful, professionally hosted and extremely successful Tour de Gracetown 2020. It was a pleasure to be included as one of your beneficiaries again this year and we look forward to the opportunity of joining you again in 2021. ... Feedback from our riders and volunteers was extremely positive and without exception they sincerely enjoyed being involved. The riders are all keen to do it all again and the volunteers will be back. Thank you so much for the opportunity of working with you. We, as you must be, are very proud of the outcomes. The funds raised will be put to very good use helping us raise awareness of prostate cancer to ensure men are tested early (and hopefully reduce the current drastic death rate) and in providing education and advice to all prostate cancer support groups in WA and their members. In addition to the funds donated to us by TdG our riders fundraising efforts added just over $10.7K to ensure we can continue to provide services for 2021. That means so much to us in these difficult times. Kindest Regards Ken Bezant Chairperson Pcahelp

08.01.2022 An offer from our kind sponsor Juniper, Margaret River not to be missed !

08.01.2022 Feedback: Dear Ian, I have been meaning to put finger to the key board since Sunday to thank you and your Board for the terrific event last weekend. This is the second time I have had the pleasure of riding the TDG and I am looking forward to next years event.... I saw some of your feedback earlier and frankly I cannot imagine why you would need any more signage, I am the worlds worst navigator and even I managed. Quite a few people did a 77km (approx) option by doing the first segment of the long ride - I suspect that could be a popular option for many. I raise it as you might like to think about offering it more formally. Again congratulations on a great event and best wishes as you start to prepare for next years. Yours sincerely Ro Hogan
