25.01.2022 The tours 6th leg has been our biggest at 1850k and took us along the inland route from Cairns to Noosa. Nice easy ride through the northern tablelands then passed our coal mines working hard and onto Noosas golden sands. Great to catch up with a couple of old mates along the way too. Its 5:30am and the footpaths re busy already. Plenty of smiling faces and warm greetings these people definitely looking after their mental health. This trip with my brother is looking after mine I hope you are taking time out to look after yours... thanks for all your support. Cheers.
25.01.2022 From the top to Cooktown was 1000k. The roads were gravel and sand with the odd bit of bitumen but dusty and corrugated as hell. The bikes handled better than cars on this surface but concentration was paramount. The sand on the edges of the roads soft and claims many cars which are now on their roofs. We camped at Australias most northern cattle station which was brilliant and also an old telegraph station. We passed many swamps but saw no crocs. The Cape is beautiful it would be even more amazing just after the wet but a lot harder to get around. Back to Cairns we go on Friday then back home leg 5 has come to an end...

22.01.2022 Cairns to Noosa day 2. Inland roads are super quiet with the exception of road trains. Cattle country but the land and creeks are bone dry. 30 degrees just nice riding weather. The main hazards are the vulture like birds eating the road kill at times theyre slow to react. Time to hit the road again...

15.01.2022 Taking some time each day to focus on your own wellbeing can have a huge impact on your mental health. One simple exercise that you can do anytime, anywhere is ...a technique known as 'box breathing'. Its called box breathing because it consists of four counts of four. Start with a slow inhale to the count of four, hold for the count of four, exhale to the count of four, hold for four and repeat. See more
15.01.2022 Life on a cargo ship. The MV Trinity Bay hauls its cargo from Cairns to the Torres Strait Islands. Its cargo can consist of anything that fits in or on a 22 container. Fuel, building materials, cars, refrigerated goods, with a maximum of 125 containers and nearly 1 million litres of diesel hauled north for daily use. Then the return trip south, container loads of prawns and other seafoods amongst its load. The crew of 13 work 1 month on 1 off. They work hard and long stacking and unstacking the cargo at different ports and are rewarded by the best meals but no beer. Us paying passengers enjoy the first class dining then sit back with a beer and watch these workers daily lives. Its been fun on the Trinity Bay but now that we are at the top its time to hit the roads and head south...

13.01.2022 As the sun sets in Noosa leg 2 has come to an end. Today we were blessed with blue skies and 500k of curves in the tweed valley and hinterlands. Thanks to those that have donated once again to Beyond Blue. They do a great job helping people with mental health issues so we can all enjoy the good things in life...

05.01.2022 Leg 4: The shortest leg from Mackay to Cairns and attending the V8 Supercar races in Townsville in between the 2 days riding. The weather wasnt so kind for a lot of the time riding but we had a great 4 days in FNQ. An old mate Wayne whos now living in Mackay came along for the ride and enjoyed the time with his old mates. This afternoon was spent riding the Atherton tablelands which is a real treat for the motorcycle enthusiast. Now its time to prepare for the Cape York leg which wont commence for another 7 weeks. Thanks again for all the donations to Beyondblue at home and along the way. See u soon
05.01.2022 The tour to the tip is via the MV Trinity Bay. Bikes are on board and we visit Horn and Thursday islands then Seisia on the main land.
