He is a super star! The Horse Of The Year is a perpetual trophy awarded to the best preformed horse who has raced in Charters Towers through out 2020 including the CTA and is awarded at our Towers Family Dental Rural Race Day held on the 5th December. 17.01.2022 It is with much sadness to announce, that following a recent track inspection from Racing Queensland, our track has been deemed unsuitable for racing. This means our upcoming TJC Cup day will be transferred to the Burdekin Race Club on the 19th June With our major track upgrade commencing the day after our Cup, it was felt that this was the best possible outcome for the racing industry and participants. However in good news!!! ... Our construction and track upgrade will be completed in time for our Dec race meeting and it is going to be EPIC!! We will run our TJC Cup along with the TJC Bracelet and the Allingham Bangle, plus three other races giving us a 6 card race program. See more

08.01.2022 We are excited to announce that this week, stage one of the water project was completed. This project was possible thanks to the Queensland State Government’s CRP funding and Racing Queensland. A very big thank you to Ben Chapman and the team at Project Irrigation. Ben is seriously one of the best guys to deal with and if you are after a pumping station or major irrigation system, he is the guy to call!! ... We must also thank Charters Towers Regional Council for supporting the club, Matthew Cotton from RQ, Kerry Fenamore for his electrical expertise and Uncle Ray and Jeff Doolan for the genset til we get the electricity sorted. This water project is vitally important especially for the upcoming works to the track upgrade, which gets underway next week!!! It is sure is exciting times!!!
