21.01.2022 KEEPING SAFE DISTANCES LOOKING AFTER YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY Driving is never risk free, but you should aim to be a ‘Low Risk Driver’. Just like when you’re driving you should keep a 3 second gap between you and the vehicle in front.... When visibility is reduced, it may be necessary to increase your distance ‘Crash Avoidance Space’ to four seconds or more to reduce the risk of driving into the rear of the vehicle in front. Similarly, due to the risks associated with the COVID-19 virus it is necessary to slow down and stop driving lessons until the danger period passes and we can safely navigate through this time. Your health and well-being is paramount. Thank you for your understanding and continued support, stay safe and well. Looking forward to helping you get your driver’s licence in the near future. #towncountrylearnerdriving #drivingschool #Drivingschoolwagga #waggawagga #keys2drive #safedriver

18.01.2022 Book your free 60 minute Keys2drive lesson with Town & Country Learner Driving School Funded by the Australian Government, keys2drive is a youth road safety program which provides learner drivers and their parent/supervisor with a free 60 minute session with an accredited driving instructor. The free lesson uses a ‘train the trainer’ model with the accredited driving instructor assisting the supervisor (often a parent) to guide the learner driver to adopt safe driving practic...es. It does this through face to face practical information and instruction on how they can most effectively assist in the training of their learner drivers. Keys2drive provides a different approach to learning to drive a coaching method called ‘find your own way’ which encourages the learner driver to make their own decisions rather than always being told what to do. This technique assists a learner driver to become P plate ready. Over time, this approach will help create a new culture of safer driving. The Australian Automobile Association and its constituent motoring clubs are delighted to be working in partnership with the Federal Government and the driver training industry to implement the Keys2drive program. A keys2drive session can be booked at any time during the learning journey however it is most effective within the early stages so there is plenty of time to incorporate what has been learned into the driving instruction process. An interactive key2drive website supports the session and is a valuable ongoing learning tool for the learner and supervisor. How to book your free keys2drive session with Town & Country Learner Driving School: 1. Register with www.keys2drive.com.au You must have your Ls as you will need to provide your licence number. 2.
