04.01.2022 COVID-19 Community Service Announcement: - The easiest way to ask for financial relief from your bank for mortgages and business loans. *** Please note: the linked page appears to focus on small business but the contact details are the same for home loans*** If you are worried about how you are going to make payments on your mortgages or business loans because of COVID-19, you should act now! ... Chatting with our clients, we know many people are unsure about how the process works. You need to reach out to your lender/s BEFORE you miss any repayments or find yourself without enough money to live. If you haven’t spoken with them before you miss a payment it will be noted on your credit file. All requests to pause repayments must be made directly with your lender/s. Each lender’s assistance package works slightly differently so your best bet is to liaise with them directly. All banks and many other lenders have established dedicated COVID-19 assistance channels and these channels are the most efficient way to reach out to them. The contact details for many lenders are listed in the link below. Please bear in mind the lenders are dealing with an enormous number of requests in these uncertain times, so it may take some time. If your lender is not listed or you are unsure of anything and would like advice on how to access assistance from your bank, please reach out to us and we will do whatever we can to help you.
