Mak...e sure you love the location youre looking in. Drive around the area, neighbouring streets and know the distance away from your local shops. 2. Look up, look down and all around the inside AND outside of the property. Its very important to look beyond the nice furniture, wall prints and designer rugs which can make a property look more renovated than it is. 3. A functional floorplan. Make sure it offers what you want or has the right provisions to renovate. 4. Ask the agent lots of questions: not only about the property but the price expectations and why the owners are selling. 5. If you are interested, seek a second viewing at a different time to the open home. Try afternoon/ evenings, so you can really see the potential of the property. Turn on lights!
