16.01.2022 Only fifteen more sleeps before the Sydney to Hobart and once again Townsville Cruising Yacht Club is well represented. Last year these three model citizens ste...ered Ocean Affinity to 2nd place in their division despite the bent carbon pole..... You may have missed that in the Townsville Bulletin. This year seven of the eleven crew are from TCYC. Mark Vickers, Wesley Bailey, Jamie Pirret, Steve Brierley, Andrew Torpelund, Brendan Torpelund and John Dahren will be making Townsville proud. Follow them and support them. I will.... but I just go for the food and wine festival. Love Tassie. See more

16.01.2022 Serve 11 Sail Just bringing to your attention an initiative that Leon, myself and Guilty Pleasures Sailing have brought to the table of the Townsville Yacht Club (TYC) committee, Serve II Sail. Serve II Sail has been developed to encourage Veteran’s and Defence Personnel to get involved in sailing either in a leisurely or competitive environment. It will include comprehensive information afternoons in a relaxed atmosphere and an expansive overview of yachts and yachting. The TYC committee gave encouraging feedback in support of the program. If you are also supportive of the basic concept please share, more information will be shared in the following weeks.
