21.01.2022 After the last few months we have extended the animals we are currently rescuing due to the Covid epidemic! We have taken on Ronald duck and will be keeping him here at the farm but we will also be rescuing more ducks , birds , guinea pigs , and even snakes as a few Carer have reptile license . I think if you rang and told me you had a pet elephant or donkey and needed assistance Id come help ! Anyway meet our new mate Ronald hes a heart breaker ! We just love rescuing animals

19.01.2022 Welcome in the new tribe 9 puppies Date of birth 20 July 6 males 3 females ... All been vaccinated and wormed and will go back to the vet in October to be desexed and have their 2nd vaccines and chipping ! Everyday we are taking in new animals and we are starting to over flow at the seams ! These puppies are x breed and arent available until they are vetted desexed and been in quarantine for 2 weeks We just want to help animals ! We just want to make sure more animals are desexed ! We just want to spend our days looking after the needy and helpless , so we try and make the world a better place one day at a time

18.01.2022 LONNIE UPDATE Wow $1450 has been donated to help this little lady Shes home and got enough meds so she isnt in any pain new bedding toys cooked meals and calcium syrup for her bones In 48 hours we have spent just over $3500 on her to make sure she has all she needs with healing and being secure . ... She has to keep her cone on for a week so she doesnt lick her suture line and open up her wound . She is very cheeky and remembers our place from when she was first surrendered at 6 weeks old ! Life on the farm with other dogs around her so she isnt lonely but safe in her enclosure ! Thank you again to all who have already donated or are donating again this week . 14.01.2022 A big thank you to the lady who called us today about these puppies that were dumped in Aitkenvale. By the time we got to them only 2 scared puppies were left to be found. They are very under weight and very scared . They have been wormed and vet checked . They are safe and had dinner and hopefully we will find the rest tomorrow

11.01.2022 Day 5 picked polar up from the vet Wednesday. got his own suite to live in while he heals and we put some weight on him ! Heres his story we will update everyone Friday on total money raised for his surgery ! Thank you those who have donated ... Meet polar This poor not even 2 year old Mareema was rescued over the weekend after weeks on the streets His owner from Ayr dumped him, he is so malnourished he was always looking for food that Saturday he was hit by a car and left for dead ! This morning we were contacted by a lovely lady from the Burdekin who had asked vets, council and the Rspca for help but no one wanted to help or were concerned theyd get stuck with the bill! Polar was in so much pain . So I was called by a lady in tears just wanting to help this dog ! 2 hours later he arrived at our vet still in pain but we knew he now had a chance ! Dr Chris had no hesitation in helping save this poor dogs life . Still registered in the breeders name who didnt want him back we put him into the rescues name and tomorrow he is having surgery done ! Surgery is now done , we also got him desexed and vaccinated while he was under so he didnt need to go through another surgery . His Bone plating is done in his foot , he has been in hospital since Monday morning and has been on IV fluids , antibiotics , and was sent home with pain relief and antibiotics as he will need to heal over the next 4 weeks . He will be on special diet of puppy food and home cooked meals until he is adopted . So please help if you can donate to our vet bill at Kings Road vet please do , He will need to be on a good diet while healing so we will cook for him and give him good quality puppy biscuits . He will be in care for about a month . Dr Chris had no hesitation in helping save this poor dogs life . Still registered in the breeders name who didnt want him back we put him into the rescues name and tomorrow he is having surgery done ! He will need Bone plating done in his foot , he will be in hospital for a few days and is on IV fluids , antibiotics , special diet , poor thing is so hungry and will come to us once he is allowed out of hospital . His bill will be around $3000 but the next home will be his forever home ! Nearly 2 years old and he has had 4 homes . So please help if you can donate to our vet bill at Kings Road vet please do , He will need to be on a good diet while healing so we will cook for him and give him good quality biscuits . 09.01.2022 Just an update of the dumped puppies from Aitkenvale ! They have now been vaccinated and are eating casserole and biscuits like champions ! Still very scared but their future is looking bright ! Thanks for those who support us

09.01.2022 Meet Lonnie she arrived on the 28th July with her 14 other siblings they were only about 6 weeks old they were born 23rd June ! We try honestly to pick the best homes , the right homes the homes where we believe they have a chance of a long happy life ! 2 weeks ago she broke her tibia it was healing but needed more quiet time to heal correctly . ... Then Friday night she was rushed to kings road vet and had apparently broken her femur , because it was too difficult for the owner to keep her quiet so they let her run around with their bigger rougher puppy even though she was still healing . So back to the new Injuries, the owner was offered to fix the problem and keep her quiet , buy a cage crate her so she can heal , she is a puppy she has soft bones she has a lifetime of happiness she just needed rest At 8:20 yesterday morning I was called to ask if we would fix her leg if she was surrendered to us and give her another chance at life . I gave approval got organised and by 10 am I was at the vet standing watching Chris and nurse Loren do surgery and plate her leg while I made sure Lonnie knew she was safe and loved and going to be fixed . I stayed with her for 2 hours so she was out of surgery and waking up ! She is still in hospital , she is on a ketamine drip for pain and fluids , we are in the process today of building another enclosure today do that she can be kept quiet and given medication as love to heal ! A huge thank you to nurse Kerry , Dr Lisa for looking after her and doing hospital treatments all weekend to make sure she is not in pain , fed looked after and loved ! Thank you also to Dr Chris who on his day off came in to do surgery ! I know this week has just been a shit week for us all but together our two teams join together to make sure we do our best to save as many lives as we can while we are on this earth . We have had an update this morning and she is going well , shes had breakfast been out for a week and the drugs are keeping her smiling through the pain of 2 broken legs healing . Our bill once again is over $2500 for this weekend and 1 puppy ! So if you can help wed appreciate it very much We will also need beds , linen pasta and rice and cuddly toys if you can spare anything. 06.01.2022 Peanut update Well a merry Christmas to all who I know have wanted an update but we have been crazy busy as of the time of year Peanut has had 3 surgeries and still has 2 more before she will go up for adoption the next one booked in for January ... She has 2 foster siblings looking after her and she is house trained It only seems like yesterday this little one came in with pneumonia at 6 weeks old in June and will probably turn 1 in our care . 04.01.2022 Wednesday Skyes puppies had their first vaccines, had their 6 week old worming . Skye was desexed on Thursday and is gaining weight nicely now that she is out of milk and enjoying being a puppy herself ! Saturday Madu the smallest male and runt started to go down hill and couldnt keep fluids or food in ! He was rushed to kings road vet Sunday morning and had lost 500 grams in three days ! He is on around the clock care at kings road , hes on medication , fluids and ...had xrays of his belly ! We are very blessed to have Chris who heart is really in the business for the animals , even though Im positive I drive him nuts I know he is there when my heart is aching to save an animals life ! 03.01.2022 Weve picked polar up from the vet today and hes got his own suite to live in while he heals and we put some weight on him ! Heres his story we will update everyone Friday on total money raised for his surgery ! Thank you those who have donated ... Meet polar This poor not even 2 year old Mareema was rescued over the weekend after weeks on the streets His owner from Ayr dumped him, he is so malnourished he was always looking for food that Saturday he was hit by a car and left for dead ! This morning we were contacted by a lovely lady from the Burdekin who had asked vets, council and the Rspca for help but no one wanted to help or were concerned theyd get stuck with the bill! Polar was in so much pain . So I was called by a lady in tears just wanting to help this dog ! 2 hours later he arrived at our vet still in pain but we knew he now had a chance ! Dr Chris had no hesitation in helping save this poor dogs life . Still registered in the breeders name who didnt want him back we put him into the rescues name and tomorrow he is having surgery done ! Surgery is now done , we also got him desexed and vaccinated while he was under so he didnt need to go through another surgery . His Bone plating is done in his foot , he has been in hospital since Monday morning and has been on IV fluids , antibiotics , and was sent home with pain relief and antibiotics as he will need to heal over the next 4 weeks . He will be on special diet of puppy food and home cooked meals until he is adopted . His bill will be around $3000 but the next home will be his forever home ! Nearly 2 years old and he has 4 homes . So please help if you can donate to our vet bill at Kings Road vet please do , He will need to be on a good diet while healing so we will cook for him and give him good quality puppy biscuits .
