24.01.2022 Track layout will be finished this afternoon. We’ve also got the roller hired for the weekend. Hoping to start rolling tonight. We need to rake rocks off the surface before we roll. If anyone’s available late this afternoon into the night to help that would be great. We are hoping to start laying ropes tomorrow around lunch time. All going to plan we might be able to have a play on the new layout on Sunday arvo but that will depend on if we get a few hands to help. Cheers

So Saturday we intend on rolling and a little bit more of a clean up, then on Sunday we can open for some practice. If anyone is available to lend a hand tomorrow it would be very appreciated. 20.01.2022 Last day at the Townsville cup, if you couldn’t get there yesterday to pop down and have a look that’s okay, cause you saved the best day to do it. Last days are good cause it’s finals racing which means heaps longer races. I wonder who will take the podiums in all classes that are being run. We are serving how good and cold drinks in the canteen.

20.01.2022 It was great to see some new faces at last nights practice. It’s been a while since we have held a Friday night practice. With the numbers that turned up, we ar...e sure to hold more. The track will be open tomorrow from 9am-2pm for open practice. Followed by Caleb Noble’s tech talk from 2pm-4pm. This week he’s hoping to cover Diffs and shocks. Please remember to pay your $5.00 to the canteen if you intend on attended Calebs tech talk. We will also be cooking lunch on the BBQ. Cold drinks are available from the canteen. 18.01.2022 Thanks for everyone for turning up last night for the 4 Round of the 2021 Club Championship. We where finally able to have our first Saturday race meet, it was ...defiantly a success. It looked like everyone was having a great time with some close racing. If anyone had missed the post earlier this week. The track will be open from 9am-2pm today for practice, than from 2-4pm Caleb Noble will be holding his first maintenance/tech session for anyone that wants to attend. Today’s focus will be on Nitro Engines. Hope to see you all there.

10.01.2022 Started the new layout yesterday arvo. Everything so far is good just need a few little tweaks after testing. Friday night layout will be complete. Hoping to have it rolled and ropes down by Sunday arvo. It’s amazing what you can achieve in under two weeks.

No set time as Russell will be there doing bobcat work all weekend. We have heaps of jobs needing doing EG. mowing, poisoning, cleaning out the shed/pit lane. ... So if you have some spare time please come on down and lend a hand, it would be much appreciated. Hopefully the rebuild only takes two weekends and the club can have a practice day before the Cup. 03.01.2022 Great few days so far here in Townsville for the Townsville cup! I have been meaning to post more but have been super busy enjoying the track and enjoying helpi...ng and spending time with so many great people! Sitting in TQ after qualifying today, has been unlucky for the club, facing some issues with the timing loop but things have been sorted for the rest of our weekend! Track has come up AMAZING, some serious traction out there (this photo was taken on day 1, way more blue grooved now). 01.01.2022 Hey Guys and Girls. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. With 2021 less than 24hrs away I thought I get some opinions on Townsville race calendar. ... Once a month I’m looking at running Saturday afternoon/night racing. -Track would open from 10am -Open practice from 11am-1.30pm -1.30-2.00pm finalise nominations -Racing from 2pm. -Classes : 1/8 buggy nitro and electric, 1/8 truggy nitro and electric, short course, 1/10 electric buggy 2wd and 4wd, 1/10 electric stadium 2wd truck, Novice. -4 rounds of qualifying, followed by 1 final for each class. -The canteen will be running, so you’ll be able to purchase cold drinks,chips,wraps and dinner. -The finals will be run under lights with the completion or racing by 9:30pm (pending numbers) -Free camping at the track will be available. -Free hot shower available. -Or you can crash at my place. -Race fee’s. $10.00 for 1st class, $5.00 for additional classes, you don’t need to be a member of TMORC, you just need to be a member of any club. If your not a member of any club additional fees will apply. Just make sure you can fulfil your marshalling duties if you run more then one class. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers

01.01.2022 Welcome to 2021. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & New Year. As most are aware the club has struggled of late after just recovering from the floods then along came Covid-19, hopefully that is all behind us now and we can get back to what we love doing. racing RC cars. This is the release of our 2021 calendar. We have changed it up a little this year with doing some Friday and Saturday night racing. We will be email out a copy of the calendar and our membership ...form if you could return them before the 6th of February please. If you do not receive one and would like to you can message our Facebook page of email us one [email protected]. Unfortunately, the track is a little damp ATM after the 350mm of rain it has received over the past two weeks but keep an eye out on our Facebook page for when the track will be open for practice days.

01.01.2022 Mackay have released their race calendar for 2021. Great little track, Caleb Noble Rc Racing and I have always had a blast when we have raced there.

01.01.2022 After a few weekends we are all cleaned up and ready to have some fun. This weekend we will be open to the public with a free come and try day. All cars Nitro and electric up to and including 1/8 scale are welcome. No age limit as long as children are supervised. Young Caleb Noble (13) did a few test laps on Sunday once we finished rolling. And is pleased with how the track flows (Video in comments) We will post up opening times tomorrow.

01.01.2022 I'm looking at opening the track tomorrow from about 1pm. Caleb will be down in Mackay getting some practice in for the Mackay cup, so I'll only be opening if people are planning on attending. Please leave a comment if you are planning on hitting the track tomorrow. Regards Shane
