18.01.2022 Global Bookkeeping Week. We get a whole week, I’m ok with this.

17.01.2022 The past 6 months within the accounting industry has been one of the most difficult emotionally and physically. With constant changes in tax legislation, jobkeeper, cash flow boosts, additional monthly reporting requirements by the ATO for said JobKeeper and Super amnesty - all in addition to our normal compliance BAS and tax work. I just wanted to shout out to all of our amazing clients for their understanding and compassion in these stressful times. We are working ...through all September BAS and JobKeeper 2.0 eligibility. 13.01.2022 This is for quarter one COMPANY tax instalments. Please note this will be automatically corrected by the ATO and refunds issued.

12.01.2022 JOBKEEPER 2.0 Please note that alternative testing for has just been released for the next round of JobKeeper. JobKeeper 1.0 finishes this week and if you are no longer eligible for the next round, you no longer need to top-up wages.

11.01.2022 JobKeeper finished yesterday. Please bare with us while we determine which clients are eligible for JobKeeper 2.0 as we need to prepare BAS for September for comparison. If you’re eligible then top up payments can occur before end of October. As usual, we have got this! But please respect that Jamie and I are trying to have a break with our children this week. We will be back smashing it next week refreshed ready for the next round.

10.01.2022 UPDATE REQUIRED. New tax rates are now available with MYOB, however, you will need to update your current version to enable the new cuts.

06.01.2022 The reality of this is real in the bookkeeping world. We have been under the pump every day since COVID hit and impacted many of our clients. Trust me when I say we are doing the best we can to get you all the benefits available. We are still but two people who also have children and households to run. I think Jamie and I have two lives left

06.01.2022 In June, the Fair Work Commission announced a 1.75% increase to minimum wages, with new rates coming into effect in 3 separate groups of awards. The increase to... the second group of awards, which includes construction, manufacturing and a range of other industries, starts from the first full pay period on or after 1 November 2020.
