24.01.2022 FEEL GOOD FRIDAY A community volunteering occurred earlier this week on Wednesday 30 September 2020, at the Townsville Senior Citizens Welfare Association Inc 14-16 Ryan St Belgian Gardens Townsville Townsville Senior Citizens Welfare Association received 10 cubic metres of mulch as part of the Water Smart initiative from Council. Members realised after the mulch delivery that they were physically unable to spread this amount of mulch in a reasonable time so enlisted the he...lp of Councils community Development team to arrange a volunteer opportunity for the community. Townsville Youth Council, Veteran Terry James DSM and Council's Community Development Team banded together to spread the mulch for the Senior Citizens. Great work everybody!

09.01.2022 Do you know who did this? The two photos below are from Purono Parkway yesterday morning. This road was heavily damaged during last year’s unprecedented monsoon and our crews have been hard at work fixing many rural roads within our region over the past 12 months. We only finished the stabilisation and two coat seal Wednesday afternoon to come back yesterday and find that people have deliberately done burn outs over night to damage the road.... Suffice it to say we are very disappointed!
