23.01.2022 A big hello to all our Rock n a Rollers. Just checking that everyone is doing OK in isolation. If anybody needs to talk or help in anyway please make contact. We hope all our Mums has a great day today. If you cant be together on this special day keep in touch by phone, FaceTime technology is a wonderful tool. The announcement by the Prime Minister yesterday indicated that we might be able to start dancing again in July. This will obviously depend on social distancing requirements and the hygiene measures adopted by the Cutheringa Bowls Club. Looking forward to catching up with you all very soon. Have a great weekend. Remember active body active mind.

22.01.2022 Hi all, due to the social distancing rules caused by the COVID19 virus, you may be suffering dancing withdrawal symptoms. So, we hereby challenge all our fellow dancers to video and send in a 30 to 60sec dance routine of yourself/s (any style). We know we have lots of people that have no dance partner, so you will have to use some imagination. Remember its all about having some fun. Prizes will be awarded for different categories once we decide what they are. ... Videos may be posted on our Website, Facebook page and YouTube channel. Please email us at [email protected] when complete and we will send you a link so you can upload it. Remember its about having fun . See more

06.01.2022 During Quarantine, self-isolation, it's a chance to learn new skills, level up on rusty skills and celebrate all the things that make us unique and special! In thinking about that, here is Jenni Caspani playing her Accordion, which she is rediscovering after taking a break of over a decade! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MXUjbFAPvc

01.01.2022 Update on restarting Townsville Dance On Rock N Roll Classes Thank you for the interest and inquiries about Dance On being able to restart classes. It is very rewarding to know that you miss your dancing as much as we do. However, at this stage, we are unable to return - but there are expected changes pending so please keep checking the Facebook page.... Being a partner dance involving close contact between dance partners, rock n roll has to follow strict guidelines that have not yet be released. We are hoping that sometime this month (July) our lesson will be able to restart. When we restart lessons, our numbers will have to be capped at 50 people it goes on the size of the hall. You will have to book in advance, no walk-ins will be permitted, and all government guidelines will be followed. Our utmost priority is to keep our dancers, instructors, and helpers safe, adhere to the health regulations and requirements, and also to avoid the associated fines for both ourselves and the venue.
