That’s one new diagnosis every forty minutes. 5. 1/5 people with PD are less than 50, 1/10 less than 40 yrs. 6. Estimated economic cost of Parkinson’s nearly 10 billion a year. 7. Parkinson’s is more common than many forms of cancer including prostate and bowel. 8. Number of people with Parkinson’s is growing faster than population. 9. Exercise is one of the key components of managing Parkinson’s disease. 10. Depression and anxiety are commonly seen in people with Parkinson’s disease. 01.01.2022 Our Fire Academies are not just about developing our girls on the basketball court. We strive to give the girls as much knowledge and the resources to develop off the court life skills. Yesterday Our Queensland Country Health Fund Fire Academy had a presentation from Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) on 'Planning for Success' .We now have full confidence in the girls on passing their drivers license on the first go and making our roads a safe place The Mendi Group Academy went on site to JCU: James Cook University, Australia for a tour around the JCU campus and a information session about their future studies and the Elite Sports Program on offer to our girls who are wanting to play Professional basketball and study. The girls had a great afternoon! A big thank you to TMR & JCU for your time
