17.01.2022 Our North Queensland Toyota Cowboys (Adopt a Cowboy) Matt Bowen visited our Year 4 STEM class today. As always, the STEM room was buzzing with excitement and Matt helped students set up an experiment to test the absorbency of materials: A super absorbent polymer was used to experience what happens when a material takes up a liquid. Within seconds, the liquid/powder mixture turned into a solid and then erupted into a fluffy, white snow-like material. ... The students watched with amazement as it instantly expanded in their hands and they can confirm this fluffy artificial snow feels as cool as it looks! Our thanks to Matt Bowen for visiting our STEM classroom. It has been one of the highlights of the week. #TsvGrammarSTEM #TsvGrammarDISCOVER #EveryOpportunity Learn more | www.tgs.qld.edu.au
