25.01.2022 The excitement is beginning! Chinese New Year is close and the Townsville Kung Fu Academy lion team is once again preparing for a very busy week. It all begins with the Townsville City Council event on Victoria bridge next Friday evening. Once again we will be dancing our lions. This is a very lucky year for us because we have been performing for 8 years in Townsville. Hope to see you there.

24.01.2022 YAY! we have secured a location for training this year!! Anyone that would like to come along and look at our new space can meet us William Ross State High School sports shed (L block) at 6:30pm and we will be also doing a short training session. Regular classes will start shortly and regular updates about training will be coming as well Park down near the sports shed.

23.01.2022 Kung Fu is officially done for 2019. Lessons on Monday and Thursday nights from 7:00pm to 8:30pm will commence back in 13th of January 2020 on a Monday.

22.01.2022 Our team had a very successful Chinese New Year. After many dances over 3 weeks our team is looking foward to an exciting and busy Year of the Rat. Many thanks to Mayor Jenny Hill and Townsville City Council for their support over the years.

17.01.2022 Good news everyone! We are securing a new venue and we will commence training on Thursday 27th February. Watch this space for further details.

14.01.2022 Due to unfortunate circumstances we will not be beginning classes on Monday the 13th. Training start dates are to be announced and will be posted soon.

11.01.2022 Coming up to the Chinese New Year it’s all go at Townsville Kung Fu Academy. Even Sifu is hard at work repainting the drum.

07.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT Regular training will be starting this Thursday, opening the hall at 6:30 for weapons training and sign up and then starting training at 7pm till 8:30pm Monday’s will be starting at 6:30 for lion dance training till 7 then forwarding onto training till 8:30pm... A new opportunity has come up for our demo team (Kung fu & Lion dance) If you would love to be part of it please come to training tomorrow night at 6:30 at William Ross State High School block L/Hall If participating please park/drop off outside of the hall as there is parking available.

02.01.2022 The red and yellow lions that were donated by our sister city Foshan to Townsville, performed at the Townsville City Council event on Victoria Bridge to begin the Chinese New Year celebrations. Unfortunately the black lion was in the Chinese Club during the floods last year and was damaged. Happy year of the rat!
