25.01.2022 Great job Ted and Leanne. A dance for one person. We could all give this a try!!!

24.01.2022 We have been doing this anyway but it is a timely reminder.

23.01.2022 Something to keep this in mind even if we can't do it!!!

23.01.2022 The creative winning display at this year's Newcastle Festival.

20.01.2022 Great creativity! Ted and Leanne were in my class at the Winter School last year.

20.01.2022 Townsville SCD is back! The trial Sunday class was successful under the Ausdance Covid Plan. All the dancers enjoyed dancing after such long break. Now we would like to welcome you to dance with us starting Monday September 28 at 7pm. Please contact us if you would like to attend.

18.01.2022 Sadly our SCD classes and events have been put on hold for there foreseeable future. Here's a very clever poet and his take on the situation. Keep calm and carry on and stay safe!

17.01.2022 A Hungarian Ceilidh with great music and dances. For those of you who are missing the Clansman's Ceilidh here is fifty minutes of a Ceilidh. The dances are taught and the music is "live". There is a break when a few musical times are played then more dancing. I think we should all try last dance The Slosh.

17.01.2022 How's this for full sound playing Strip the Willow!

17.01.2022 A very successful start to the dancing year. Unfortunately too busy dancing to take many photos!. These are some from the Cross over Class when the beginners and general class come together for half an hour!

15.01.2022 Some beautiful Scottish music from a well known Scottish family.

15.01.2022 To those who enjoy Highland Cathedral this is beautiful listening. Enjoy!

13.01.2022 Enjoy this Ceilidh dancing.

12.01.2022 I am sure you have heard of Captain Thomas Moore who has raised 30 million pounds for the NHS. This is the talented Scottish pianist Maurie Johnstone's tribute to him. Great listening.

12.01.2022 I love this dance!

09.01.2022 First night back at dancing with a Ceilidh dancing night. As you can see the happy faces we hope you can join as on Monday February 10 for the eight week Beginner/Improver's Course at 6:15 for 7:30 or General Class at 7:30. See you there!

08.01.2022 Miss Milligan the grand dame of SCD.

06.01.2022 Sadly we are not dancing but...here are some photos of the last couple of Beginner classes thanks to the photographers Lucia and Amaya. I hope you enjoy looking at these. We are hopeful the we can complete course in 2020! While all seems dire we see people pulling together and helping out. David McMahon, one of our younger dancers, has kindly offered his services to assist older members, who might need help with shopping, meals etc. David can be contacted on 0427 598 441. Thank you David; your offer is greatly appreciated.

05.01.2022 Good for a laugh!

03.01.2022 Thought you might enjoy hearing Brian Bisset who sang at Townsville Tartan weekend the last two years and Bruce Mitchell on accordion who was here two years ago. Brian has been invited to play at Tartan Day this year.

02.01.2022 This should have been Townsville Tartan Weekend and we would have had a busy weekend with all things Scottish! For SCD dancers, the Ceilidh dancing to the live music of the Black Bear Duo, would have been a highlight. However when a door closes a window opens. Doug and I took part in the Virtual Sydney Ball and we had a ball. We danced to Iain Mckenzie on his accordion, half of the Black Bear Duo!
