This will be one of our first performance/s back since our recent closure due to COVID-19 and the whole team are incredibly excited to welcome you back through the doors of the Townsville Civic Theatre. Not only is this one of our first performance/s back, we are also working with a brand-new ticketing system that was launched during our closure. ... We are unbelievably excited to share the positive changes this system will bring to you, our customers, such as the ability to print your tickets at home or hold tickets on your phone. The whole team have put a lot of effort into making sure your experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible, but for this to happen we need your help. As a concerto soloist he has appeared with the English Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Auckland Symphony Orchestras. Running alongside the modified North Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA), Beauty Rich and Rare recreates the wonder experienced by Sir Joseph Banks and the botanists, scientists and illustrators who travelled on the HMB Endeavour from England to Australia 250 years ago. Not only is this our first performance back, we are also working with a brand-new ticketing system that was launched during our closure. We are unbelievably excited to share the positive changes this system will bring to you, our customers, such as the ability to print your tickets at home or hold tickets on your phone. The whole team have put a lot of effort into making sure your experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible, but for this to happen we need your help. To avoid excessive cueing we ask that you please consider the following: ANY groups larger than 3, please make sure ALL tickets are printed or distributed to each ticket holder. 01.01.2022 Fun Fact Friday is back this week and this time our fun fact is more of a ‘fun find’ from inside our very own Townsville Civic Theatre. The Fosters cans pictured were found along with a wallet in the ceiling of one of the downstairs dressing rooms during the demolition work that occurred as part of the 2018 refurb. The soft drink cans were found in the block-work inside the actual auditorium & our favourite find of them all was a rolled-up newspaper found in one of the air-...conditioner ducts inside the auditorium. The newspaper was dated 1978 which was over 40 years ago. We often have our customer’s come in to purchase tickets who tell us so many interesting stories about when they themselves were part of the original build of the Theatre. We find it so incredibly wonderful they helped create the space in some way & now they get to sit inside and enjoy the entertainment it provides to them and so many others The TicketShop Team
