24.01.2022 Introducing our Committee Sam is only a new member of the toy library but has jumped at the chance to give back to the community by recently becoming our secretary. She has a beautiful little 1 year old boy who loves anything that makes noise! ... When she is not doing all things toy library she is a nurse and enjoys spending time with her many animals and her family.

22.01.2022 *COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS* Meet Nikki, your new toy officer for the Townsville Toy Library. Nikki has been our Volunteer Coordinator for the past 2 years and has now changed roles because she LOVES toys and probably plays with them more than her 2 young boys. Her favourite toys are Playmobil, Schleich Animals and the Up&Down Rollercoasters. Let Nikki know what toy is on your wishlist! 22.01.2022 Happy International Volunteers Day! Our library would not be the amazing service that it is without our volunteers. We are 100% volunteer run, no paid positions.... Every single volunteer is appreciated for their support, time and commitment to provide this service to hundreds of members every month. I can't thank our team of volunteers enough and in particular our committee who give so much time to our library. We are in constant need of volunteers so if you can help us out we would appreciate it as would our members. Volunteer with your friends, bring a grandparent, or your partner. We always say more the merrier! Next time you are in the library, say thank you to your volunteers! They deserve all the gratitude they can get. Happy International Volunteers Day... together we can!

20.01.2022 Recently our members participated in the "Love Townsville Community Mural" for Stockland during our open sessions. The mural is now on display in the Stockland Shopping Centre (near the Customer Care Desk and Jamaica Blue). They would love for all the ‘Artists’ to come with their families and friends and see their work on display. This community mural joins other art pieces, commissioned by Stockland, from local artist Baret one. a self-taught street artist who paints with ...aerosol. Plus, there is the added opportunity of posting a picture with any of the artworks on Stocklands Facebook page for the chance to win a Stockland Gift Card. The exhibition will be showing through until 31 Oct 2020. Have you seen the mural and snapped a pic?

12.01.2022 Townsville Toy Library is pleased to announce we have been successful in a Supplementary Volunteer Grant 2020 from Volunteering Queensland. The $5,000 grant will go a long way to supporting our volunteers! As a 100% volunteer run organization, our volunteers are the backbone to our organization and without the hard work, time and commitment from these extraordinary people, we wouldn't have this wonderful service. . We'll keep you updated as to what we spend our grant on and... advise our volunteers how they can benefit from this as well! Erin President
