19.01.2022 Australia’s Longest Continual Running Social Rock n Roll Dance Club Hi everyone, had a great time at lessons last week, great to see some old/new faces back, lots of catching up. Hardest part was not shaking hands, this social distancing is not easy. Thankfully it will get easier as restrictions are slowly lifted & it looks like we may be able to increase the numbers in the coming weeks. Good to see everyone making an effort & abiding to the rules in the meantime though. We ...are organising a few social dances for the rest of the year also as the numbers allow for 50 people, Our Birthday Dance is in October to allow for more people & it is combined with Halloween which should be fun. 17.01.2022 Australia’s Longest Continual Running Social Rock n Roll Dance Club Hi all, well we had our Xmas dance & while it wasn’t a big crowd it was a fun night for those who came. It just goes to show you don’t need a crowed dance floor to enjoy a night of live music & dancing. We are not having any more lessons for this year so our Xmas Dance was our final get together for 2020. We will be back on 17th January 2021. We will keep you all posted for any New Year Celebrations that come... up, Covid willing. Let’s all hope that Covid will depart & let 2021 be a year to remember. The Committee has decided that as fees are due for financial members, we will extend the period for renewal to 31st January 2021 as... 2020 has been a bit of a washout for our club. 01.01.2022 Australia’s Longest Continual Running Social Rock n Roll Dance Club Hi everyone, well we are back up & running as of Sunday 21st June, 2pm. We have stipulations though that must be followed, 20 people only including instructors so that means only 7 couples. If you want to do Beginners come at 2pm, if you are wanting to do Intermediate come along at 3-3.15. First in best dressed so to speak. You have to have a partner as we are not allowed to partner you if you come by yourse...lf and you cannot change or dance with anyone else. Hand sanitiser will be available & must be used when you arrive. We need to follow these rules or run the risk of being shut down & fined so please help us here & adhere to the rules. Hopefully by the end of July we will be back to normal. If you are unwell or have been in contact with someone that is please be aware that it is a good idea to not put any of us in jeopardy. We are also working on the social calendar & will have that updated in the coming weeks but will add to the email each week for you all. Whatever you do, have a great weekend. Cheers Kevin
