24.01.2022 Message from Lyndsay regarding when we can reform, Hi all I have had a talk with the management of the West End Hotel about when the uke group can return.... Unfortunately due to the current requirements placed on the hotel for distancing and restricted numbers, we are unable to return at this time. We will be able to return when the restrictions are further eased. I will keep liaising with the hotel and when they give the thumbs up, I will let you know Please support the hotel by going there and have a meal, their lunches are from $12.50. Regards Lindsay --

14.01.2022 With restrictions lifting we are still waiting until number of patrons allowed at pubs/clubs is around 100 before we resume (fingers crossed July). What we ask now is that our members support the venue that has supported us for the last 10 years. If you have the means and it is safe for you to do so, please think about booking a meal in the interim with family or friends at the West End Pub. We need to show our gratitude now more than ever for the home of our Uke club, tell them when you book that you're with the club so they know we are actively supporting them. Thanks Uke Family, see ya soon...

01.01.2022 We're backkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After a long wait and some serious social networking on behalf of the Club we will be trialling a new home at the Bell Vue Hotel, 17 Allen Street, South Townsville. For those in the know this is also the home of the Townsville Folk Club, so we will be in with great company. The manager Wayne has been amazing and agreed we can keep our current format, being a Tuesday night starting at 6.30pm for beginners and main group meeting at 7pm.... We have room for the projector under cover in all weather (bonus, Kent will be happy), a little bit of a different seating plan required for us but nothing we can't work through. We have a first meeting date of Tuesday 29th September. Details for the pubs location attached. A huge shout out to Chris Ward for her hard work in finding us a new home. Chris and I can confirm the beer at the pub is lovely and cold. Hope to see you all there. Only 9 more sleeps to go. Regards Bernie.
