16.01.2022 Townsville Yacht Club are extremely proud to see that Scott Whitehead is a Finalist for Youth Sailor of the Year in the 2020 Queensland Sailing Awards. Scott has developed outstanding skills in Hydrofoil Kite racing, having competed in Australia and Internationally. Scott is current the Australian Champion and he is training to win at the 2024 Paris Olympics where this exciting class of sailing will have it's first Olympic competition.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Townsville Yacht Club's Breianna Whitehead who is a finalist for Australian Sailing - Queensland's Female Sailor of the Year. Brei has been a lifetime keen sailor and dedicated competitor at a National and International level. Brei is actively developing the sport of sailing whilst pursuing her Olympic Kitefoiling ambitions, having been selected to compete in Paris in 2024. Brei is a wonderful ambassador of the Townsville Yacht Club and a great role model for female sailors. We are very excited about her nomination, as well as her continued success and involvement in sailing.
