25.01.2022 Parents, please read these latest recommendations from the Australian Government Department of Health regarding COVID-19: https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coro...navirus-2019-ncov-hea 1. People who have been in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 cases must be isolated in their home for 14 days following exposure. 2. Returned travellers from mainland China must be isolated in their home for 14 days after leaving the country, other than for seeking individual medical care. You do not need to isolate yourself if you have only travelled to Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan. 3. If you have left, or transited through Iran on or after 1 March you must isolate yourself for 14 days from the date of leaving Iran. 4. If you are travelling from South Korea, on or after 5 March, you must isolate yourself for 14 days from the time you left South Korea. We also thank you for assisting us by keeping any children who are unwell away from the Kumon Education Centre. We expect this will need to continue with staff and students for the foreseeable future. If you are interested in trying out the results oriented Kumon method of learning, please contact us to arrange a suitable two weeks of trial period for your son/daughter. 17.01.2022 Kumon Centres are still open but we are ready for home-based study in the event of school closures Dear Kumon Students and Families, At Kumon, our first priority is the health and welfare of all students, staff and parents. ... Kumon Centres are still open. However, if schools close to slow the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, Kumon is ready to go to home-based study until schools reopen. This is to comply with health authority advice and government regulations. Worksheets can be provided from your centre for the duration of the school closures, so your child’s learning is not interrupted. Kumon is traditionally a home-based, pencil and paper programme. It is designed for students to study at home every day on their own. It is ideal for extended periods at home. For a short time, every day, no calculator, no keyboard, no screen, no high-speed internet connection necessary. Students take out their worksheets, pick up a pencil, read, think, write, and use an eraser to correct their errors. Kumon Instructors can effectively manage communication with families through a variety of electronic means. Continued daily worksheet study at home will ensure that disruption to your child’s progress and learning is minimised. 16.01.2022 Thank you very much for visiting our Facebook page. First we WISH YOU ARE SAFE AND HEALTHY! We are all experiencing the harsh effects of COVID 19. It has changed our day-to-day activities to a great extent. Face to face schooling/teaching has been disturbed due to the ongoing restrictions imposed to minimise the spread of COVID 19. Under these circumstances, it was not possible to conduct Kumon after-school education programme in the physical classroom setting. But, we have ...not stopped assisting students achieve their academic goals! We switched on to online classes. Since then, our centre has conducted Kumon classes using an online platform without any interruption. If you wish to provide an additional support for you child/ren to cope up with missing learning hours, and further develop their Maths or English skills, we invite new families to contact our centre through 0468791695 to find out possibilities to enrol new students. We will resume our usual Kumon classes once the situation becomes normal.

14.01.2022 Recent surveys show that there is a growing demand for the Australian Curriculum based Kumon Education System. Being one of the leading Kumon Centres in Wollongong area, we are happy to organise individualised FREE ASSESSMENTS for children from pre-school to year 10 on all Tuesdays (between 3.00 - 5.30 PM) in the month of February. Assessment takes about 45 minutes. Feel free to grab an opportunity to get assessed your child's/children's current abilities as far as Mathematics and English are concerned. 09.01.2022 Most Australians have begun to restart their normal routine after nearly two months of hibernation due to COVID-19. With the easing of the restrictions imposed by the government in stages, there will be a great possibility in the next stage to reopen our Kumon Centre. However, it needs to be noted that the ongoing social distancing measures and other health practices will be continued until further notice. Due to the pandemic, students missed face-to-face classes for almo...st one entire school term. This has created some gaps in the learning ladder that must be filled in the coming months. Kumon Towradgi Education Centre is happy to work hand-in-hand with parents to bridge these gaps, as well as other missing links in children’s education. This is the best time for pre-schoolers to join our programme as it will help students get a head-start stepping into Year One in 2021. 03.01.2022 Daily updates show that COVID-19 is rapidly spreading across the country and forcing to change everyone's daily routines. As a result, we also had to change the operational schedules and the service delivery mode of our Kumon centre from this week. The centre is kept open on Mondays and Thursdays from 3.00 PM to 5.30 PM but students do not engage in their normal "sit and study class sessions" until the situation becomes normal. Instead, they collect new study materials on cl...ass days and return to their homes. Tuesday classes are temporarily closed until further notice. The new arrangements do not make a significant change to what they are doing right now as Kumon Education System is designed to facilitate home based study method. Current students/ parents/ guardians can visit the centre during its opening hours and new families need to contact Bandhu at 0468 791 695 for appointments. Please note that new changes may come into effect in coming days due to pandemic situation. Therefore, all are strongly encouraged to contact Bandhu before visiting the centre.
