25.01.2022 The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast heat wave conditions to affect much of NSW until at least next Tuesday. This will increase the fire risk across much of state with Very High and Severe fire danger likely on the weekend. Plan and prepare now.
24.01.2022 Hot weather is coming. With increased growth, there's an increased risk of grass fires this season. Know what to do to get ready. Check www.myfireplan.com.au for tips on how to keep your family and property safe.

20.01.2022 Thanks for coming out to support us today Wendy Tuckerman MP
20.01.2022 Brigades from Marulan, Tallong, Towrang, Big Hill, Bungonia and Goulburn Mulwaree Support all met at Marulan today for some hands on training. Today seen 45 mem...bers all participating with COVID 19 precautions up held. The idea was to upskill some of the neeer members of the brigades as well as keep all members skill set up to speed ready for what is predicted to be a pretty bad grass fire season. What we found today is you cannot go off the road very far without getting onto soft ground very quick which is very hard to chase a grass fire. See more
17.01.2022 Here's your day-by-day guide to the heatwave that's about to sweep across Australia.
17.01.2022 Huge Thank you to Sam White and crew from Southern Garages & Buildings for the wonderful support to our brigade, by donating their time to installing a new sliding door in our fire shed, which was donated by Stegbar. While on site they also built our new skillion section between the two fire sheds that will now house our catering trailer, to keep it out of the weather, Thanks to the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Towrang Village Discretionary Fund Working Group for the funding.
16.01.2022 This week sees the return of hot, dry and windy weather across parts of NSW, particularly in the Riverina. Very High and possibly Severe fire danger over coming... days will elevate fire risk, so now is the time to review and discuss your bush fire survival plan, especially if you’re on holidays or travelling, and take the time to prepare your property. 14.01.2022 The Bush Fire Danger Period will offically start on the 1st October 2020 for the Southern Tablelands Zone (Goulburn Mulwaree, Upper Lachlan & Yass Shire Council... areas). If you intend to continue undertaking burning activities you will need a permit, as well as notifying your neighbours and the fire control centre - failure to do so, can result in a substantial fine being issued. Permits can be obtained from your local brigade. Now is the time to prepare and test your Bush Fire Survival plan!! For further advice in preparing, Visit: rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare
