22.01.2022 In a Nutshell... We have identified three stand out water filtering technologies and styles that substantially reduce and often completely remove chemicals of health and taste concern in drinking water Gravity Fed | Distillation | Reverse Osmosis ... All three water purification technologies are affordable, extremely long lasting, don’t require a plumber and are portable Our goal is to find and make available technologies that emulate NASA's goal of filtering and conserving 98% of the water they use on the International Space Station We have researched the evidence, tested these filters (through our sister site Toxtest ) and evaluated their functionality and ease of use in home environments Established in 2017 by Toxtest and Toxno founder, Hartmut Günther, Hartgoods is a supremely secure online-store, with 10% of profits from water testing and water filter sales donated in support of Australian drought, bushfires, floods, cyclones and international disasters. See Helping Others for details We have also evaluated niche custom water filtration solutions like chlorine removing shower/bath filters

17.01.2022 We have updated our FAQs. Our Sample Population Details are revealed by using Cadmium as an example and we show how the Sample Population Average is determined.

14.01.2022 A recent analysis of an Amber Necklace at our sister site, Toxtest, for any emitting Gamma, Beta, Alpha Radiation revealed a level of 0.09 Sv per hour or, if worn 24/7, would equal about 788 Sv per year. At Toxtest, we measure radioactivity of objects like an Amber Necklace, using the Rotem RAM GENE-1 MARK II radiation counter that is able to measure Gamma, Beta, Alpha and X-ray radiation with a sensitivity range of 0.05 Sv/hr to 7000 Sv/hr. For liquids we use a Liquid Scintillation Counter that is able to achieve very low background counts. Cost of either test is $60.

11.01.2022 Quality of Town Water is informed by the latest Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) yet maintained and to some degree enforced, by the states and territories, water boards/authorities and local councils. States like NSW, also have their own, more specific guidelines. Water treatment by these authorities serves to accomplish the following Disinfection of bacteria and other pathogens... Removal of toxic chemicals via treatments like coagulation, precipitation, filtration & adsorption Water softening, aesthetic and pH adjustments and corrosion control During these processes the following chemicals may be used by the water authorities for purposes shown in the tables below. From the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG, 2018).
