25.01.2022 Chatan Yara no Sai, performed by Akamine Eisuke of Shimbukan Ryukyu Kobudo. The tsuki waza and timing is interesting when compared to today. At 0:53, he co...nfuses the Enbusen, but after being mad for a second he resumes. It can easily happen, since many of the Sai kata have very similar combos and the overall performing method is rather a monotonous sequence of techniques without dramatic highlights. See more

To all affiliated Dojo. Dear Ryukyu Kobudo Shimbukan members, Chairman Hiroshi Akamine sends notice concerning the 2nd Official Regular Examination Committee. ... We would like to express our gratitude to you for your continued support. Upon, we would like to inform you that the examination committee for this term will be as follows due to the influence of the coronavirus infection situation. 1) Date and Time: November 8th (Sun), 2020, 4:00 pm-Headquarters Dojo. The Dojo owners who have applicable examinees, please fill out the examination application form in advance by email or directly to the headquarters dojo BEFORE the day of the examination. * Headquarters Dojo Address: Ryukyu Kobudo Shimbukan 901-0205 676-3 Nesabu, Tomigusuku-shi Okinawa, Japan. The examination judges will be nominated by the chairman in advance (assumed to be a resident of Okinawa Prefecture), so please attend. * Judges are dressed in black trousers, short-sleeved white shirts, and Shinbukan original ties. 2) As with the previous time, video screening is possible for judges with 2nd or 5th dan or higher and for examinees without a branch dojo due to the coronavirus. Please report to the chairman by Sunday, November 8 and have the video reviewed. Those who know me know Im not big on chain mail or copy & post prompts at all however this is for a good cause that friends have followed and besides its embarrassing to not step up I will change the rules however to save you from seeing 25 lots of bad, Covid slackness, dojo closed for months, pushups daily and also nominate friends by message to save them from not following suit if they choose.
