14.01.2022 Seeking out the lost and forgotten graves of outback pioneers. Land Cruiser Club members Mark and Debbie are also members of Outback Graves Markers Inc. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes before a Club trip to find lost or unmarked graves can start. There could be records of the graves that are marked, but nobody knows which grave belongs to who or there may be no markings visible. Mark and Debbie were approached by a descendant of prospector James McHugh to ask if our ...club could possibly find his grave. With limited information, it was a challenge that went on for 3 years. The Club did find James McHugh. Although it cannot be definitely confirmed without ground penetrating radar and DNA testing we are quietly confident we have found James who now lies beneath an Outback Grave plaque. Relatives were overjoyed and visited the site soon after they were told of the good news. Interested in this type of adventure? Our Club might suit you [email protected] F See more

04.01.2022 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT If you intend to stay on the Wandoo Property we ask you to please keep the following in mind: * Stay out of the creek. Thirteen Mil...e Brook is lovely to look at however it has many holes under the water and waits to trap 4WDs in it. If you do choose to drive through or along the creek there is a VERY HIGH probability that you WILL GET STUCK. Luckily there is mobile coverage over this section of the property. If you are on your own then your options are: * Extract yourself from the creek or if travelling with another vehicle ask them to assist. * Wait for someone to come along and assist you. * Call Westcoast 4x4 recovery to come and assist you on 0417 090 373. You will be responsible for any recovery costs. We also ask that you stay out of the muddy sections off Entrance #1 as these sections can also be extremely hazardous to your hip pocket when you suffer a total loss of traction. Mobile coverage is not as good here. PLEASE NOTE: If you have never been taught how or had to recover a 4WD and you do not have the correct equipment or appropriate recovery points then we urge you to call for help instead. People have been seriously injured and killed during 4WD recoveries. The cost of paying for a professional to extract you is nothing compared with potentially life changing injuries or even death.
