23.01.2022 Cut back your sugar consumption in 28 days without going crazy and see the results Week 1 - Reporting week only. Write down everything you eat each day for th...is 1st week. Week 2 - This weeks goal is to eliminate liquid sugar and drink good quality water. Poor quality water can cause cravings and bloating. If you need to have a sweetener use liquid stevia only. Week 3 - Eliminate all food containing refined sugar, eg lollies, snacks, dressings, sauces, desserts, sweetened yoghurt. 18.01.2022 As most of you know I am a mobile PT and over the past few months I have wrestled with the idea of doing something different... I love my work, I love anything health and I love my clients however I wanted something with MORE financial security whilst still being a PT. . When it comes to giving ourselves a pat on the back for the accomplishments that we do, we tend to only do it when it is a big accomplishment and not a small one. But every accomplishment should be celebrated with a hi 5 fist pump pat on the back or even a happy dance.... Never under estimate how good small accomplishments can make you feel because they are always part of the bigger picture. This goes for all parts of your life. Work, home, health, fitness and family. The other day I decided to finally sort my shoes out, so didn't want to because there are a lot more better/fun things to do lol. But I thought NO it's got to be done. I wished I took a before photo, totally forgot but how good it made me feel to now have them all sorted and easy access, I will no longer be wasting time trying to find "the other shoe". I was so damn proud of myself so I did my happy dance. So everytime you achieve something in your fitness journey , doesn't matter how small it is, congratulate yourself because you have improved your health and wellbeing by just doing it.

05.01.2022 Want to know the main reason why most people fail in their attempts at taking control of their health and fitness? Because the goal in their eyes isnt progress, its perfection. Far too often I see or hear of people going from one extreme to the other. From doing absolutely nothing with poor eating habits, to training 7 days a week and trying to eat to perfection (which usually means nowhere near enough calories and cutting out ALL of the things they love).... It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that if youre doing this, youre setting yourself up for failure. Ill let you in on a little secret ... when it comes to nutrition and training for the purpose of changing your body composition, close enough is good enough... AS LONG AS YOU ARE CONSISTENT. Consistently finishing close to your calorie intake goal and eating wholesome nutritious foods 80% of the time will give you better results than the vicious cycle of eating perfectly for 5 days and then blowing out every weekend. . Consistently getting to the gym 4 days per week (or whatever your goal is), even if you have a shit session from time to time, will give you better results than going to the gym for 3 weeks straight like a maniac before burning out and not going for a month, only to start the cycle again once you feel motivated again. Consistency with doing the fundamentals on training and nutrition WELL will give you long term, enjoyable and sustainable results. Small progress is still progress, if you can change your mindset around wanting the results all at once, to wanting small progression EVERY WEEK, you will achieve that goal that continues to elude you.

01.01.2022 Getting caught in the act As you all know I am a PT and with this corona virus going around I have been doing the sessions online. We have been so lucky with... our weather lately so I have been able to take my laptop outside and do the sessions in my backyard. My dogs love the fact that I have been home a lot more and have joined me in the sessions. My clients love the fact that every now and then a dog head or tail appears on their screen. But they do say dont work with kids or animals. Whilst I was training 1 of my clients, she asked me what the hell were my dogs doing behind me, when I looked around Jaxx, the kelpie x was humping the rotti, Sarges head, because Sarge had the ball. Nothing like being entertained while you are getting trained . Butter wouldnt melt in their mouth!
