24.01.2022 Well not much I can say, super frustrating that this morning there was modifications and got told nothing about these notes that changed that it shows I was missing waypoint so I panicked to try find these and lose so much time but I didn’t need to and should have continued on.. at km 193 I had to make a left turn and when I did the track and road was bunted off showing it’s the wrong way so got confused here also and lost more time... The disadvantage of starting first is you hit all this first and loose time.. I’m alive, stayed on two wheels so this im happy for... Bring on Day 2.

23.01.2022 Marathon stage was good, 7th in stage and all in one piece! Bit of an underlying issue with the bike but all in all we are in a pretty good position with Stage 7 down, looking forward to another one... #Dakar2021

20.01.2022 Today I tried to fix as much as I could and when I got to refuel at 229km I saw I still had a solo zip tie on! The rest had come off but I just tried to keep momentum, not accelerate too hard and ride smart. I lost some time but I didn’t think I would make it to the finish, let alone 2nd in stage and still be 2nd overall! It’s good to see the Michelin Motorcycle tyre can get me to the finish line even with a big gash in it #Dakar2021
20.01.2022 Another day behind us. Honestly haven’t seen the results so not sure on this, but I ride comfortably and in control, one small mistake (sounds like all at the olive trees for most) and happy with my feeling on the bike. One more day to go

19.01.2022 Never tried this, only seen on YouTube lol!! But the boys had been trying to get this tyre on for about 45min to an hour.. 4th attempt and 5 minutes later the Aussie had it on! Bush mechanics

09.01.2022 Day 2 is done, better day today but seen loads of lines shooting off the track and off edges and cliffs so played it smart and didn’t push in the dust starting a long way back. Lots of injuries today so just keeping the tyres on the ground is a good day for me.. Ready for day 3.
08.01.2022 Pretty epic to meet this little legend this morning before our roadbook training. He was waiting for me at the track this morning and got to do a couple laps with him before we set off... Pretty rad to see kids out having fun, he definitely had the style and giving it 100 (full gas).
