24.01.2022 Vote 1 Tracey Robso-Garth for Hawdon Ward, Banyule. Council issues are closer to home and, sometimes, more important to people than issues related to the state or federal government. Councils are about Rates, Roads and Rubbish. They deal with local roads, parks, permits, culture and arts, emergency services, garbage, but mostly, they're about planning. In fact about 90% of what they do is planning. So, that is why it's important to choose the right counselor that not only ...represents your vision for Banyule, but knows how to communicate, work with people, and has the skills needed to plan. Vote 1 for Tracey Robson-Garth in the upcoming local elections as your representative for the Hawdon ward of Banyule. I am one of you. I live in Banyule, I grew up in Banyule, I have raised my family in Banyule and I run my business in Banyule. So like you, the future of Banyule is important to me. I am also an independent candidate. That means I have no allegiance to any political party. I will NOT put the agendas of a state or federal party before the concerns of the residents of Banyule. I will base all my decisions on facts, data, and community concerns. My aim, if elected to council, is to provide support for local businesses, to ensure safety in the community, to communicate the issues that need to be fixed while highlighting the opportunities that support Banyule residents. But also, I have the experience needed to represent you on the council. I have developed multiple successful businesses, led national programs for a large Australian company, sat on the board of a national health organisation while contributing and supporting local volunteer groups and organisations. My experience has taught me to manage budgets, work with people, actively listen and make decisions. Obviously, I would love for you to vote 1 for me in the upcoming elections. But if not or if you are undecided, it is important when choosing a representative, to think about the candidates, experience, skills and agenda. Think about the role they will play in managing your three R’s, Rates, Roads and Rubbish. Because they will be planning for you and your community's future in banyule. . . . #RatesRoadsRubbish #Tracey4HawdonBaynyule #Elections #Enviroment #Social #economics #Vote1TraceyRobsonGarth Authorised by T Robson-Garth L1, 253 Rosanna Rd, Rosanna.

23.01.2022 Friday we received the sad news that Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away. She was an amazing person who was an advocate for gender equality and equal opportunity. The issue of gender representation is an ongoing battle and one we all should fight for. Did you know that Banyule council (our council) is part of what is known as the fragile 14 as defined by the Victorian Electoral Commission? This means Banyule is 1 of a group of 14 councils in Victoria at risk of having no female r...epresentation! Currently we have only one female representative on our council and we are at risk of not having any across the 9 wards of Banyule in the year 2020! In the next council election I would be honoured to continue in the tradition of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and to advocate for equal opportunity. . . . #RBG #ruthbaderginsburg #equalopportunity #Traceybanyule2020 #fragile14 Authorised by T Robson-Garth L1, 253 Rosanna Rd, Rosanna

23.01.2022 Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. Albert Einstein During election times candidates can get caught up in winning. But, it is more important to remember the reason one is in the race to start with. I am running in this election to bring attention to issues that need to be fixed, highlight the good and advocate for my community. My hope is that whether I am elected or not, that I have added value throughout the campaign and continue to add value after.... * * * * * #Banyule #HawdonWard #TraceyRobsonGarth #Council #Vote1 Authorised by T Robson-Garth L1, 253 Rosanna Rd, Rosanna. 21.01.2022 How Does Music & Dance Benefit the Community? Banyule is well known for its love for culture and arts. Dance and music are awesome forms of art that have an unbelievable way of bringing the community together. It includes all generations, races and backgrounds. They are universal languages! We want our children to be brought up in a community with social diversity and acceptance. The great way to build acceptance to diversity is by bringing everyone together sharing a common ...ground. Dance and music can do that for our community by offering a means for everyone to explore different cultures, ways of life, ideas, expressions, and thoughts. Unfortunately due to covid-19 our super popular Arty Farty Festival and Twilight sounds was cancelled. However, I have no doubt when it is back it will be bigger than ever Sadly the same may not be the case for our local dance schools, music classes and clubs The fact is that due to the covid-19 pandemic, Banyule's local businesses and groups may not make it through to the other side. While businesses stay closed, the cost of leases, bills and expenses it takes to run the venues still need to be paid, even though the tuition fees from customers it takes to pay them are not. Some small businesses just don’t have the funds to weather those conditions. We need to continue to support our local businesses through this crisis or our kids will miss out in the future! To quote Ren McCormack (Keven Bacon) from Footloose See, we don’t have that much time left. All us teenagers, pretty soon we’re going to be just like you. We’re going to have jobs and bills and families and we’re going to have to worry about our own children. Because that is the job of a parent. To worry. In the spirit of Footloose and all the great music and dance that came before and after, show your local dance schools, music studios or local theatres that you care. Show your kids, and community that you support them.Tag your local businesses and groups that offer dance and music in the comments below and share this post. . . . #Dance #Hawdonward #Banyuleisthebest #Music #supportlocal. 07.01.2022 Do you want me to tell you how you could plant trees, for FREE while doing nothing! Well, have you heard of Ecosia? It is a really cool search engine alternative to google. Instead of putting all the ad profits into the shareholders pockets like google does, they put the profits into making the world a better place by planting trees. Yeah how cool is that!... They plant 1 tree every 45 searches. The average user of Ecosia is responsible for planting 19.5 trees a year. If everyone in Banyule switched over to using Ecoisa as their default search engine today we could be responsible as a community for planting over 2.5 million trees this time next year! All for free, while doing nothing! Just use Ecosia for searching things on the web...Its that easy! If you want to find out more about Ecosia and all the amazing other things they do I have put it in the link above. Remember by switching to ecosia you will be planting trees for FREE, while doing nothing! https://www.ecosia.org/ Like, Share and tell all your friends and everyone in your house to do the same.
