The Tax Office are in the process of instigating an SMS notification system to let you know when your tax return has been processed and to give you a date on which to expect your refund to hit your bank account. There is one catch..... you will need to give them your mobile phone number which means you may receive other calls directly from the Tax Office in the future, rather than having them routed through your tax agent. Pick your poison wisely , my friends!

While your boss can ask you to work ‘reasonable additional hours’, your salary needs to be high enough to cover what you would’ve earned under your award or enterprise agreement for the hours you worked (including any overtime or penalty rates that would’ve applied). And they need to consider things like risks to your health and safety, as well as your personal situation (including responsibilities).
