18.01.2022 We can work alone and achieve amazing things, but get a respected group together and get all different ideas and thoughts happening, conversations flowing and boy do we learn a lot and get some real golden ideas happening. When I had my own stores in the early days I thought that by asking others thoughts I would show weakness, I would have people think if she has to ask, she doesn't know what she is doing. What I realised as I matured was I didn't always have to be the ide...as person, I didn't have to have all the answers, one of my strengths was getting the right people together, and letting their ideas flow and my job then was to listen and make sure I didn't miss anything at all. To ask the right questions that kept the conversation and ideas flowing is a gift in itself. It's okay to let others shine, let others be the hero, just work hard on moving forward in anyway you can to make it work best, for the end results you want. Happy Tuesday TM xxxx See more

07.01.2022 Part of what I work on daily with the individuals and teams I help in my mentoring/coaching practice is the stop and think rule before responding in a conversation. Sometimes our immediate reaction does not help a situation, because we use our reactive response instead of being proactive in our response. So what's the difference? There are many differences but simply a reactive response is the first thing that comes to our mind and often this can be negative if we feel we are... being verbally attacked or treated unfairly. However if we want to be proactive in our response, we need some time to think, we need to take in the situation and have time to work out how we feel about it and what outcome we want from it. There are so many ways I help my clients to think differently here and handle things differently but the most simple is to not rush. Either just sit there and allow thinking time, or say, I need some time to process this, can I come back to you soon for further discussion please. I hear often use your heart or use your head or use both, but often in these circumstances we need to use our head first to not make things worse. On the other side of it, remember words are truly powerful, you can make the difference in how people feel about themselves daily, so choose your words wisely, watch the body language of response and if you feel your words have not had the reaction you hoped for, maybe further explanation is needed. Communication is the key to building great relationships and starting with our language is a really great place to start. Not everyone in our teams will be a great communicators so help them to understand how much easier their lives will be if they work at getting better at it. Can they change? they sure can, you just have to lead the way and show them how. See more

02.01.2022 If it keeps coming at you, you keep thinking about it, don't keep pushing it aside, take the time to look at it, and see what you can do with it. Lose the fear and find the excitement in the possibility xxxx Believe and back yourself always
